What a pioneer, has been fighting for over 14 years, and has a style thats very unique. Doesn't get the attention he should, his name should be right up there with Royce Gracie and Ken Shamrock; Royce was the first UFC champ, Ken the first King of Pancrase, and Paulson the first American Shooto champ.

Erik Paulson is awesome, definetely a pioneer and one of the unsung heros of the sport. He's Brock Lesnar's trainer at the moment, interestingly enough.

Paulson was always one of my favorite fighters. It's just a shame he didn't get more fights in Pride - or come to the UFC a few times. His match with Matt Hume at Extreme Fighting 3 is still one of my favorites.
