Shame for Mark, but he'll have learnt more from that fight than fighting another 6 or 7 journeymen like many of or prospects do. Mark isnt even a LMW, hes a welter, hence making the weight was easy for him. Vuma looked a solid operator too, wouldnt mind seeing him in with Moorsey in the future.
Mark was in good spirits after the fight, he'll come again, and I believe he'll give a lot of UK welters a damned hard nights work.
What was everyones opinion of the fight? Ive not seen it myself yet (was ringside for it - but not seen the replay).

Going to watch it later so i'll give you my view but on a personal level Mark is a real nice kid and I hope he goes on to be successful.

Terrific fight but vuma had that extra bit of experience and class workmanship. Thompson looks to be a decent prospect and may go onto a better level in the future, it was a baptism of fire after the second round when vuma got into it.

Kind of reminds me of when Dean Francis was pitched in with Zaffa Ballagou early on in his career. The loss really did him no harm and of course he turned in his most impressive performances after that fight.
