Tonight's the fight and whatever the outcome, no excuses, I wouldn't want to read "oh he was too old", "that's not his weight", "he's washed up".
Both are great fighters and yes, I'm with Tito on this one, and yes I'm puerto rican, that's why is hard for me to go against Tito. So here we go:
who wins this one? and how much you bet on vbookie?

A couple obvious questions;
How is Roy going to look fighting all the way down @170?
How will the weight affect his stamina/legs/chin-- all of these factors seemed to have diminished once he came down from HW (Ruiz fight or even before)?
Is roy going to really fight at a high pace(KO4), or will he lie on the ropes for long periods of each round (giving Tito what many think is his only chance)?
And for Tito there are even more unknowns (especially @ 170);
Power
Chin
Stamina
Workrate
Physical conditioning
Strength
Speed
I think Jones is the obvious/easy/safe pick in this one. But I do give Tito more of a chance in this fight than most (even with all the unknowns).
A prime Jones waxes that ass over a prime Tito. But neither fighter is not even close to their prime.
Roy has lost 3 of his last 5 fights (2 via brutal KO's)
Tito has lost 2 of his last 5 (with the Winky fight being 12-0 shutout W/Tito looking like shit/shot)
My prediciton, I am thinking that this version of Roy will come out looking good and fast, winning the fight early, but I think if he doesn't take Tito out before the later rounds that he might find himself in trouble due to his legs not being there because of weight difficulty. I think Tito's problem is that he becomes discouraged when he can't land on a guy-- he'll be able to land on Roy a bit when he's on the ropes.
I am going to go with the colossal upset and pick trinidad by stoppage.
If the fight was at 175, I think Tito would be in for a huge beatdown. I simply believe that Tito(age 35) is going to benefit more from the weight than Jones(age 39).
i put 100 on Roy...
First round, one punch and he sat down

Why did you put brutal by Roy Jones KO but not by Tito's? IMO Tito has a better chance of getting a brutal KO. I think Tito will lose a UD though

Im going with Roy....He's been more active and Tito got the piss knocked out of him by soft punching winky Wright a couple years ago so i think Roy will win via stoppage........Like it was said in a previous post,they both are way on the decline but i think Roy will have a little more left to do the job because he was always far superior in skill than Tito was and still will be even at this stage of the game

I see no major upset if Tito wins. Two old fighters go at each other. One never seemed to be old was just outboxed twice (badly). The other is old as hell, much slower than before, dropped punch output and slower reflexes. Too many questions: too much weight, too much weight-loss, inactivity etc. There's no guaranteed winner here just a strong favorite if Roy is a strong favorite at all. All these KO predictions are coming from people thinking that the Roy of the millennium will show up tonight but unfortunately he's a different fighter now. Could be a KO but could be a wide/close victory, KO, points loss… nothing written in stone here.
My take: Roy on points.
But no upset if Tito wins.

Jones by UD.
Jones may be able to get the KO, but he won't take the risk.

I know your point but actually a lot of Roy fans think Roy is the one who will brutally KO Tito, with that same word "brutally"

Tito looks very soft at 170, ROy looks ripped as ever, and I believe it when he (Roy Jones) said that he didnt let himself get to heavy ao he could be ready for a fight around 170. He also had to lose less weight than Tito did to get to 170, Tito had to lose somewhere around 30 pounds to fight at the highest weight he has ever fought. This is shades of Vargas-Mayorga, Vargas going into the Mayorga fight, had to lose alot of weight to fight higher than he had ever fought before, and we all know how that turned out.

Roy lookes amped. Tito looks a bit couscious, maybe he's a bit worried or trieing to lure Roy into thinking that he is worried.

Jones will knock a rusty Trinidad down early, and finish him within five.
This said - if Trinidad takes his power up with him, Jones could get KOd himself. Doubt it'll happen - primarily because I don't think Trinidad will hit that hard at this weight - but I wouldn't be surprised either.

Tito's one of my all time faves, but Jones will likely win by KO. Too big and fast.
