"Klitschko is probably the #1 hw but needs to fight Peter to become recognized champ." Lamps almost yelling his response, "Or if he had been born in Nebraska or any of the other 49 states he would already be recognized as champ."

I agree there is some bias against non-americans but not so much with the klitschko situation. but it was funny how he silenced Kellerman for 5 minutes. U could tell Lampley was pissed. He owned Kellerman bigtime :yep

agreed about unification. he does need to unify to be "the" champ. imo, once he disposes of sultan, he can make a legit claim. total wba,ibf,wbc,wbo unfication is a pipedream. just not realistic given boxing politics.

however, i think kellerman implied klitschko needed to fight peter who has no belt. i'm guessing since he is rated #2 by the ring.

what kellerman might have meant was that if klitschko did that he would have the ring magazine belt, no.1 heavy vs no.2 heavy. it might not have been an american bias seeing as neither fighter mentioned is american and kellerman saw lampley getting agitated and possibly didnt want to escalate the situation live on t.v. since lampley already has anger issues, just ask his wife

I never said Vlad needed to beat Peter. Vlad is simply a belt holder right now and needs to unify to be considered champ. If Peter wins the WBC and does so impressively, he will be part of the journy Vlad needs to take to become champ.
