I think cotto is one of the most solid welterweight and I think that if it continues well as for 2009 must be the king of that weight without a doubt its demonstrations in every squabble continue to grow increasingly pleiador their skills is a very complete and should do the remaining fights as soon as possible as it has said it will not q boxing more after 30 years and is a very sure what he tells you to think:bbb

I WOULDN'T consider him one of the greats just yet. However, his resume and list of wins is comparable to another Puerto Rican in Edwin Rosario. And Rosario is a HOFer.
a win over Judah and Mosley makes him great.

there must be a misunderstanding, I am saying that he is a great champ at this moment in WW, not mean to consider him an all time great yet

I'm curious to know what you think was a better win. Cotto over Mosley or Mayweather over DLH?
This is a tough one to call
Mayweather beat De La Hoya more decisevely than Cotto beat Mosley despite the split decision verdict. In the first 6 rounds of the fight, Cotto looked more impressive against Mosley than Floyd did in the last 6 against De La Hoya. Mosley probably had more in the tank than De La Hoya, not to mention he was the more active fighter. But at the same time, Mayweather was new to the 154 pound weight class while Oscar had been there for quite some time.
As much as I want to say Cotto's win, I believe Floyd's win over De La Hoya was better.
Which win do you consider better?

I didn't take it as though you were considering Miguel an ATG. I was pretty much giving my input on Cotto being one of the greats. Sorry for the confusion:good

The best welter right now. Gomez however is a step back. He would beat Mayweather easily.

I'm curious to know what you think was a better win. Cotto over Mosley or Mayweather over DLH?good question...Mosley was gaining momentum, he toppled Vargas for $, but
then fought a top WW in Collazo. Impressive.

I prefer Cotto to Mayweather hes a great welter for sure but I dont see him beating Floyd.but if Floyd is not fighting or retired what ever he wants to call it Cotto has to be number one beating Mosley Imo his greatest victory to date.
