if gatti beats gomez in impressive style could he be seen as a viable opponent again for ricky hatton?this has been my dream fight for 5 years, but i think it could be the fight that got away.

Gatti will be Hattons comeback fight after PBF kicks his ass in november.

The public must at some point seriously demand the fights we want. Boycott the bullshit fights that are forced down our throats on PPV. Who really wants to pay our hard earned blue collar cash for Maeweather, Hatton or Jermaine Taylor against anybody????????? I pay to see fighters fight, boxers box and refuse to lose another dime on runners, huggers or posers. Gatti, Barrera, Holyfield still FIGHT FOR US to have something to remember 20 years from now.

With clever marketing they can sell it but it's not something I am even remotly interested in seeing.

About two and half years too late.

who in the bloody hell wants to see this? gatti has been shot for too long now, hatton would beat him, and beat him badly.

Sure it's too late. Hatton should care about fighters like Cotto, Malignagi, PBF or Witters but not about old and destroyed Gatti.

This fight is wrong and it is our responsibility as fans to discourage such matchups.

Absolutley.

Matching a prime-ish world class puncher with a washed up blood n guts warrior is a fine way to get one of the ATG braves killed.

It would be obscene.

The Baldomir fight proved that he was definitely shot, losing to a guy who wasnt benchmarked for his power. Hatton is much younger than him and has been in no gatti-esque wars to have any wear and tear yet. SO, in effect Hatton would probly take him out like he did castillo in the early rounds.
