Well, it could turn out like Malignaggi, who was supposed to get KOed in 6 rounds and nobody gave him the chance of seeing the final round.

I care less about the movies. The only reason I subscribed to HBO was boxing. However, I refuse to pay for such mismatches as Klitschko vs. Austin, Cotto vs. Gomez, marathons like Dirrell vs. Stevens, etc., especially after the damn comcast raised my price from $10 to $27.

I'll watch the fights you posted either at my inlaws or bar.

Tells me he's not serious about aggressively pursuing a match with Mayweather.

If he was, he would have been screaming for ODH or some other big name opponent. Gomez does nothing to help line up a later fight with Mayweather in my opinion, and if anything, delays the fight all-together.

At best, Cotto gets an easy win, some rest, but it does nothing to raise his mainstream popularity which is what he needs to do to get a fight with Mayweather. Saying he "wants to fight Mayweather" everytime there is a tape-recorder or camera in his face would help too... but he doesn't.

Cotto will slowly destroy him! I am a fan of the contender series but when these guys get thrown in with the big boys (they may generate money) it's a mis-match. It's gonna be another Calzaghe v Manfredo Jr or Miranda v Banks imo.
