Powerful overhand right Mark mate.
Tutaki didnt look to be in the best of shape at all.

Bobby

tutaki is never in shape thats why he goes for early knockouts, most people beat him after round 1 when he is tired and not interested so it was good to get the early ko, he has a good chin as most losses are to body shots or fatigue , i have seen his fights with chauncy welliver and frank atu where he lets them hit him at will with no effect

Just watched it on youtube and fark, what an overhand right!

Well done mate, never knew you were a James Brown fan.

Bobby

thanks leon, overhand has always been a punch i use, but my trainer ron par has been trying to refine it for the last few months and something worked.

re james brown i for some reason had that song in my head so i used it for ring entrance, i try to stay away from heavy metal so reduce my chances of appearing as another meathead boxer

Have to admit I had a laugh when I recognised the tune, possibly not the most appropriate for a Muslim society!

Half expected a picket line to come storming in after you.

Well done Mark, still using your weight training methods with a few variations every few weeks and it's still working great, all the best champ.

Top shot Mark..

Even though the bout lasted 1min you were looking sharp with your movement and easily absorbing Tutaki's shots.

You seemed dissapointed the bout ended so early??

Quess u will be looking for another bout shortly??

One thing I meant to ask you Mark, at the start of the bout the ref called you into the middle of the ring for the pre fight instructions and you stayed in your corner for awhile.
Was this a tactic or you were still busy or you didn't hear the ref?

Did I dreamed this or did Tautaki tried to mimic a charging bull at one point ?

And I'll join my voice to all those saying : Great right hand.

thanks for the comliments guys, we all know tutkai is only a journeyman but to take him out like i did was good for my confidence, i was a bit dissapointed he didnt get up, i think after he went down he had a think about it and decided, no thanks.
i will be fighting march 1 in perth, trying to finalise opponent now, i am just aiming to stay busy while waiting for something to be finalised in usa.

Leon, my trainer was still putting vaseline on my face thats why i didnt go to the centre of the ring straight away

Mark De Mori V Alex Leapai II is the fight we want to see Bobby -

I get ten emails a week asking for it!

Brian

Tutaki gets 7.0 for the dive

Definetly no dive.:bart

But as Bobby mentioned he didnt want to get up more then actually be unable to.

Bobby what you think of yourself vs Leapai??

Also wanted to add that i liked your composure and movement throughout the first(and only:yep )minute of the bout.It was my first time watching you in action and as they say first impressions last and without sounding like a total nob you impressed me.

You look like a serious fighter with some ring smarts, rather then the lacklustre heavyweight sluggers who only have a plan A that our country provides.

Keep up the goodwork..Hopefully you have a fox televised fight soon.

No doubt Tutaki was hurt, but he basically decided not to continue in fear of wat may come in the future.

Leapai KO's De Mori in a rematch, & i doubt De Mori would risk takin it.

In my opinion there's not much point for either guy to fight each other at the moment. Their careers to some extent are heading in the same direction. Mark is signed with the Don and Alex now has his OPBF strap. I'd much rather see the return further down the line, when both guys are the finished article.

Stay busy Bobby. Get heaps of sparing done mate, and IMO you need to stop sparing Dawson and crack into some big guys. Maybe hard to find big guys but they gotta be out there somewhere.

I'm onto it Marcus, eating four pizzas a day and drinking a slab so I can make weight for the Heavyweight Division. 15kg to go but I should be ready next week. After that...look out Mark.
