Totally agree with this, even though I am somewhat of a Wlad hater in that I want him to lose most fights he is in, even I can appreciate his performance tonight. He put on a masterclass and the reason Brewster couldn't hit him wasn't because Brewster is suddenly "washed up" but because Wlad fought the perfect fight.

All credit to Wlad, tonight he did his thing and impressed me immensely. Still want Chagaev to take him out though :smoke

I am not a big Wlad fan, and I don't think he would necassarily beat some of the ATG's in thier prime,(Ali, Tyson, Holy, Lewis) but I no longer think he would be absolutley destroyed. I used to think the greats would murder him, but I now think he could have a good fight with just about anyone. THe guy is a freak of nature athlete, and now looks very comfortable in the ring.

some people lose money on these bouts, this is the fourth big bout this summer and none of the underdogs managed to pull an upset. such things make people hate/bash
