I would say "yes". I'm very impressed with him on film (and in fact, I just got a new fight of his last week but haven't watched it yet). He's quick, very fluid and effortless, no slugger but a respectable hitter. There is supposed to be a version of his first fight with Jackie "Kid" Berg out there somewhere and I'd love to see that someday.

I have him vs Canzi and Bat, He put on some good fights, Though he edge Bat in a close fight, Canzi pretty much was a level up, and Chocolate was out of his league in a one sided fight imo.

Ah, when you said you got a few of Kid Chocolate's fights I was hoping one of them was with Berg.

Which ones did you get?

It's Kid Chocolate vs Fidel Labara from 1930.
