nice left hook.......good showing for donaire. darchinyan was ungracious in defeat in the interview after the fight asking if donaire would fight him again. should have just given the man his props and left it at that. donaire looked good this go round. wanna see what he does in his next 2-3 fights. also darchinyan better work on defense and stop relying on ko power. maybe he'd better learn to use the jab and box a little more. set up his power shots instead of just rushing in.

also good job hellblazer in being quick to post the vid.

You hit the nail right on the head there!! He's an arrogant cock sucker and he deserved to get knocked the fuck out. Maybe he'll be a little more modest.. I never thought he was that great to even be acting like he was great.. He got exposed as a one dimensional fighter.. Yes he does have alot of power but he has no boxing skills.. Just look at the way he threw that punch.

Nonito can punch a bit, but multiply it with a guy charging wild gives it a added power. Vic got layed out.

BTW, I can't believe two of the three judges had the Donaire - Darchinyan fight even at the time of the stoppage. Where do they get these guys and how is it that they are keeping their jobs? Hasn't Steve Epstein been on the wrong side of a number of controversial decisions? I agreed with the third judge who gave all four rounds to Donaire.

can you email that to Vic, as he still doesn't seem to realize it actually happened?

it is an amazing left hook. comsidering that donaire has an orthodox stance with the left as lead or jab, his power probably is the right hand. but he starched a guy with the left.

GalangK
07-08-2007, 12:08 AM
Darchinyan was rushing in and didn't see it coming at all though. THat makes for a devastating combination. And this guy wanted to fight all the way up to 130 to fight the likes of Pacquiao and Marquez?

Goes to show that the Mayorga type fighters (very awkward, wild and looping punches, etc.) can blow through a lot of fighters, but when they step up in class, they will get beat by someone that can avoid their wild punches while seemingly landed all of their own straighter shots.

It was only a matter of time before someone timed him coming in like he always does when he gets cocky. He needed this, he has always been to damn cocky and disrespectful in the ring of his opponents abilities. Im a fan of his too, the idiot had it coming.

Nonito was sure of a victory he even mentioned how small Vic was 3 or 4 pounds in this class is huge a good advice to Vic stay away from a younger, faster, taller Nonito. Philipine has two great boxers now, which is better? I think Nonito is more polished than Pac.

man it was bound to happen with that wild swinging mayorga style of his, that KO was 3 years or so in the making for me. what made it all the better was it came against a supposed no hoper in donaire.

When are you kids who got picked on going to grow up. You can always tell who is bitter they are always hating on others.

Darchynian is a confident guy and so is Donaire if you had ever seen him box. He is very flashy and often plays to the crowd. Does that make him an arrogant prick too?

Sheesh people can't someon just be confident?

Nah he's an arrogant asshole in person. and obviously you didnt see the fight.. all you gotta do is go see his post fight interview to see what an arrogant asshole he is.

His a confident fighter, I wouldnt go as far as calling Darchinyan arrogant though. True, he was somewhat rude after the fight, but he was also very gracious after the Burgos fight and after other fights weve seen him in.

At least, Donaire never called fellow fighters "ballet dancers" or the likes...

...aaand didn't boast of KO'ing bigger guys like Marquez, Pacquiao, or Taylor too.:nut:yep:D:lol::rofl

Unbelievable. But I still don't understand where's that left of Vic is going? It takes a day to land I guess, too long Donaire sets up his own left. Good work. :good

I'd like to see a re-match, I like to watch Vic fight, he's always exciting, but Nonito probably takes the rematch as well, now that he knows the Bull is just a bully.

I was at the fight and haven't seen a replay on tv.

This is the first time I've seen a replay of the punch.

What a doozie of a left hook.

I knew as soon as Vic hit the deck, it was all over for him.

Vic got clocked something wicked!! dayum!

walked right into it.

Kinda reminds me of how Jones got caught by Tarver's left hook/overhand...the ones you dont see are teh ones that put you out!

IMO Nonito is better than pac.

There are many better than Pac technically, but few who are better fighters overall than Pac. Pac is just a nautrually gifted and talented fighter who doesn't have to rely on great skill to be dominant...he relys on his natural reflexes, skills, determination and POWER. He starches Nonito at any weight as he would Vic.

LOL at all the nuthuggers riding Donaire now! Two months ago another flavour of the month would have sent you in a frenzy - now Donaire lands one hook on a wide open opponent and he is the second coming of Jesus.

Props to Vic for fighting as regular as he does and challenges he takes - rather see the likes of him then some of our other big names who only seem to get in that ring kicking and screaming and then tell us how wonderful they are and why we should pay 20 million for them to grace us with their presence.

A few is riding the donaire bandwagon yet. But more are delighted of the knockout. Nothing seems sweeter than to see someone so disrespectful fall form their pedestal. I do not mind great champions lose, but to disrespect their opponent is just classless. Why don't you try to go to the Darchinyan website and see what I mean.

Darchinyan's sloppy technique was bound to catch up to him sooner or later.
Yup thats it, when you neglect defence like that, your bound to get bitten in the ass sooner or later, its boxing tradition, it happend to Vic, Brewster and Miranda. With that said, I still think Vics the more exciting fighter, I doubt Donair will be able to make as many defences as Vic did.
