im 6 ft 1
im not going to lie im not very skilled at anything in particular. im a little bit above average when it comes to power punching. im a little slow. im a little low stamina wise, but i suck it up and fight even if im tired. the only thing i excel at kindof is that i have a strong chin(i think that what it is called) i can take a punch and i dont bitch out i can take a beating and not give up.

I would think that picking out a style should be placed solely on the responsibility of your trainer and yourself. Find what it is most comfortable to you, and then work on developing and honing it.

Young u should adapt ur fighting style.. if your fighting an opponent who is better than you on the outside u need to adapt on fighting inside... if ya get me.
and vice versa

You'll obviously want to copy roy jones in ever way, always have your left hand at your hip and lean straight back from punches.
Wow what a riot. With all the sarcastic helpfulness. Playing on the fact that RJJ was unorthodox.
Well done.

Im no expert but id imagine you learn the basics back to front upside down and inside out before u consider having a particular style.

i dont remember roy jones ever using the shoulder roll??? if i remember correctly he would fight with both hand out in front....... like this:

no, roy jones fought with his left hand down a lot.
In response to the initial post, "pick" a style?? Your style is natural; you don't select it, you just box and notice what you naturally do.

Open hands in front of the face, looks familiar. I got into the habit of parrying jabs a little too often. My right hand was in front of me instead of at my chin. Last week I sparred someone with a really fast left hook off the jab. Most of the times I could get my right hand back at my chin for a hook but not this time. I didn't even see it coming, it landed flush and had me dizzy for a few seconds.
I'm trying to break the habit but it's hard. I can't parry jabs that well if my hand is against my chin.
