I mean what did he do?? yeah, he is big and strong. and he came out swinging.........everyone knew that.
but what he did was mostly just brute........like a streetbrawler or a football player.
as soon as things got technical he had to tap out!!!!!
so what does this say about his future in the UFC???
nothing......or at least nothing positive. its not like he confirmed anything about his abilities.
and certainly not the hype about being the "next big thing"!
UFC reports should be less biased imo.

It showed that he was easily beating the living fuck out of a former UFC heavyweight champion.

UFC reports should be less biased imo.It was what it was. Which we all knew was a WWE wrestler with superb wrestling credentials coming into the Octagon and taking on a Jujitsu guy. No ones shocked that Lesnar lost and im pretty sure Brock isnt either. But one thing is real HE DOES have the talent to make some noise and he does have the natural talent to hang with the heavies. It all depends on how quick he can learn and his dedication to MMA if he wants to make a dent.
To expect the UFC not to promote a name as big as Brocks is nothing less than retarded.

well i think it showed that he very well my be able to overwhelm a lot of fighters. He took mir down with ease and controlled him and was landing shots. What if he fights someone with weaker subs.

Brock Lesnar, as a fighter now, doesn't deserve to be in the UFC. He needs more training to be able to compete at the elite level, which is pretty much all the UFC has to offer him.
Also, he doesn't hit hard enough to be a threat right now. Sure he is big, but if it were Alex Emelianenko or Arlovski or Sylvia or any number of much much better Heavyweights landing those shots on Mir, Mir mighta gotten KOed. Brock doesn't yet have the power that his enormous strength could grant him.

Lesnar needs to fuck off back to wrestling. I like the guy but nearly pissed myself when he got caught so easily and tapped out so soon. I know it hurt like mad but still it was hilariuos.

Id like to see him back wrestling but i doubt that will be for some time and i have no problem with him challenging himself in the UFC.

No problem with him testing himself and I am one of hhis biggest supporters of him going into the sport. He'a good guy and a very good athelete with tasty skill and I know knee bars are awful but seeing a giant of a man like him getting stfd like that after looking so dominating was HILARIOUS.
It will be one of my favorite youtube moments for a long time.
His face after was like this  did that just happen.

The guy took one loss and now everyone thinks he sucks. What is everyone going to say after his next fight if he wins, I can see the thread now.
WHY IS BROCK LESNAR SO GOOD?

Why rag on the guy? By all accounts he is taking MMA seriously and took on a former UFC HW champion who might have been the WORST match up for him stylewise. He almost caught Mir, lost the fight and did not complain. He gracefully said he would come back and a loss is not going to derail him from his new career.
Fact is that Lesnar is a superior athlete to just about every HW in the UFC. His speed for a guy his size is insane. His strength is not debated. He needs to improve his skillset.
As a fan of MMA, I want to watch him evolve as a fighter and I support his efforts 100%.

He's still less of a joke as an MMA presence than Kimbo.
Both seem to be pretty single-mindedly dedicated (for whatever that's worth), so you have to look at their pedigrees - and I'm sorry, Lesnar's actual competitive accomplishments just stomp all over Kimbo's vid resume.

I like Kimbo, he's a good powerful street fighter, that actually throws punches with good technique and power, which is already a step ahead of most MMA guys.

And that means next to nothing when you're facing a guy like Lesnar.

Lesnar crushes Kimbo, there can be no doubt. Wonder if they'll traverse orgs to fight each other? They're certainly each other's biggest payday opportunity, with all the circus attraction between them. :yep

Obviously its not positive for you but it's positive for MMA...He was subbed not dominated and he did look good and strong.
Wish some of these vets can learn from Brock in some way..go in there with the seek and destroy mentality.. Brock was confident of his skills. It makes for an exciting fight win or lose
As for the fight though, never have I heard of such Buzz. My brother in law and his friends were at the fight and said the buzz was incredible for this fight. Cant wait to see the PPV #s

Excellent post. I view Lesnar's loss as the best for the sport. he can always be hyped back up - but it would have been a blow to the credibility of MMA to have an inexperienced fighter defeat a former UFC champion.
Now, Lesnar can learn from his mistakes and come back another time. There are plenty of intriguing match ups down the road.
