:rofl
That shit was hilarious. Gatti must of forgot this was just playing around and this was not a serious fight. Gatti was throwing and LANDING some hard shots. I was like they picked the wrong guy for this. They were throwing punches at Gatti and he was supposed to block and he said "fuck this" And countered one dude HARD with a left hook that almost knocked him out. The dude admitted he felt his legs give out.

He probably saw it as a real threat considering he cant even come close to beating journey men anymore :rofl

Yea, I saw it. He wasn't following the rules when he was supposed to be fighting on the defense. He clobbered that guy wit a hook, lol.

Yeah, and the funny thing was that all three of the guys were a lot bigger than him. Its funny how us, as fans, can say a fighter is shot but the fact is he would still kick most of our asses. I guess shot is truly a relative term.

I was on the floor. The guy didnt even expect the shot. I think Gatti was having flashbacks ................for real. He was seeing ODH, Floyd, Gomez and he said fuck that....he seen an opening and took that shit...LOL EVERYBODY must watch that episode mandatory. This is going down as an all time funny moment in boxing.

They were stupid. Knowing boxing you know you have to approach Gatti like a wounded animal and make sure you are not throwing serious heat at him like they were. They were dumb to think Gatti was going to just let them hit him.

Yea I dont think Gatti really understood the nature of the show.

He looked like he was looking to impress, and to line up for a title shot.

I can sort of understand him going hard on them. Imagine he takes the piss and one of them catches him hard.....then Gatti looks a fool getting dropped/wobbled by a Joe.

Still funny to see him taking it a bit too seriously though and beating the shit out of them.

I think I read Roy Jones just toyed around when he was on.

How much bigger were they and did they have any experience at all? How many minutes and rounds?

They are going to have an MMA coming up soon.

i honestly think its because 2 of those guys were twice his size.... i dont blame him.

Shows how a shot non elite can still whoop ass lol

Yeah and the fact they were really trying to land solid shots on him. You could see it in his face that he said fuck it and started to really whoop there ass.

You guys can catch a re-run probably. It will come on again. I seen it on a re-run and I was on the floor. The one guy told the other guys to watch out, he is for real or something like that. Thats the guy Gatti landed the check hook on. They were big dudes and gatti is every bit of 160 pounds.

I watched this too. I couldn't stop laughing, Gatti was acting like he was fighting Ward all over again.

Poor guy was running away, all tense and Gatti just fucking cranks out a HUGE left hook that was meant to put him out  :rofl

:rofl
Gatti was like a Veitnam Vet.. having flashbacks and shit. Got to love it. :rofl

He probably thought these were his comeback fights. Nobody told him he was on reality TV.

i personally agree with what gatti did and he did what any self respecting professional would do if some schmuck off the street went around saying that they could be as successfull at your profession as you. you put that punk ass in check which gatti did nicely. yeah he is shot but he was great fun to watch and truely cared about giving the fans a good showing and respects the sweet science very much.

I'm glad he took them out. I'm so tired of guys who have never fought watching a fight and saying, "I could beat so and so, he's so shot ... he's so small, I would run him over."

Guys like Morales or Gatti, shot or not, would brutally beat 99% of the population no matter how big they are.

In Las Vegas, you get to know how amazingly skilled guys like Derrick Harmon or Auggie Sanchez are. There's a guy named Lesme here who is a fantastic fighter - freakishly strong, he regularly practices fighting two guys at a time, and he can do it all: grapple, punch, kick. I would put money on Lesme beating two or three guys at once.
When Lesme sparred Derrick Harmon, he wasn't competitive with Derrick for more than a round and by the third they had to stop sparring. Derrick is a devastating fighter - and you read articles that describe him as a "harmless" Jones opponent. Little Zab Judah beat up three muggers in New York. These guys are professional fighters for a reason.

That shit was hilarious! I really like watching the expression on the second guys face as he watched the first guy get his ass WHIPPED:D

You live in Vegas? Where's the best bang for the buck to train for boxing?

barry's boxing is good since you get a different rate if you fight actively, and there is johnny taco's gym too.

Round One up on ft. apache and sahara is a very nice gym but I wouldn't say it is a hard core one - you do see a lot of pros like winky and ruiz and sam peters training there, though. I liked working out there. It was in the countdown to winky-hopkins a lot - it was cool seeing the ring I had sparred so many rounds in right there on TV.

I watched that episode. Jones just layed on the ropes and let the Joes take shots at him the whole time.

Jones toyed with them but Gatti took it serious. Funny shit. Just goes to show you even a shot Gatti is more than a handful for an average Joe on the street.

Why wouldn't he be? He trained as a boxer his whole life and was a legitimate world champion at 130. If nothing else, old boxers always have their toughness and their muscle memory.

I hear you but I always get it from guys who have never been in a ring before that they could kick this boxer's ass or that one. I remember back when I was an amateur guys who thought they were bad came to the gym and thought they would kick some ass. I used to lick my chops for these types and as soon as we got into the ring and with the first or second body shot landed they would fall to their knees and most would never come back to the gym again.
