RICKY HATTON is going into business as a fight promoter and has applied to the Boxing Board of Control for a licence.
The light-welterweight, 29, sees the move as the next stage of his career when he hangs up his gloves in a couple of years’ time.
Hatton is due to fight again at Manchester City’s ground on May 24 and his manager, dad Ray, is trying to nail an opponent.
Canada’s Herman Ngoudjo, 28, is the latest name added to a lengthy list, with Hatton aiming to bounce back after his defeat by Yank Floyd Mayweather.
Brother Matthew, 26, will fight on the undercard

Ngoudjo is rumored to be fighting Urango next in an IBF Title eliminator. Hatton is gonna have to offer him a pretty decent payday to get him to accept the fight.

I would prefer a fight against Rees before Ngoujdo.
But Hatton must fight Malignaggi and Witter someday if he wants to clean his division.

Ngoudju is a pretty good fighter. He could give Hatton problems.

That's right . . . and I guess it's not worth at all. Beating Ngoudjo who already lost to Luis Castillo and Malignaggi won't help him regain lost glory after losing to Floyd.
Why not fight Malignaggi for a unification? That is certainly a big comeback for him.
