This match is on the undercard of Valuev vs Lyakhovich.
I have seen Preskar the 24 year old before. He's a well built and atheltic heavyweight. Preskar has some speed, some power, and wild over hand right hand. Preskar needs to work on his technique a bit.
Meehan of course is the more experienced veteran fighter who has mixed it with world class talent. Meehan is a big man who can punch.
Who wins this 10 round match? I am not sure, though I have a sneaky suspicion the winner will be in line for a title shot with the WBA or WBO as Meehan is ranked #4 in the WBA, and #6 in the WBO.

Meehan TKO mid rounds - Preskar is too raw and has been unable to beat fighters with 9-3 and 5-3 records (drew both) - not impressive

What type os shape is Meehan in these days? Meehan TKO'd Williamson in his last outing, but Preskar will prove to be a much tougher nut to crack.

:huh What gave you that idea? Peskar is really extremely average, and that a generous assessment. He won't go anywhere. If Meehan is in decent shape and comes to win he should win this clearly.

Preskar has had trouble with bad fighters and not really beaten anyone. Meehan beat Brewster in many observers eyes and is coming off a brutal ko victory. Williamsons head nearly fell off.

I saw two of Preskar's fights, and he looked decent in stoppage wins. Preskar went pro at a young age, so that explains the draws. I think Preskar has a shot to win here.

He was robbed in the last fight Joe. The reasen was that Don King dident been in the Germany in that night and notbody of TV channels dident show the fight of Preskar .
Mario Preskar and Francesco Pianeta are same level and Preskar have Don King suport and Pianeta Saurland suport, here is problem. But know is time for Preskar to show him self, lets see what he will do with Meehan.

Guess that Preskar has to nail his true colours to the mast against Meehan.Tough fight for the inexperienced Croat!

Very interesting match-up! It will be explosive! I expect it to be a war from the first second.
Meehan is big and he can bang. But his skill are average and he hasnīt the best chin in world. Against a good fighter he is very beatable, altought he gives a good challanghe to any non-top5 heavyweight. I loved his war with TOS! Meehan showd big heart.
Prescar seems to a tough young kid, with average skills and averige power. He is a small heavyweight and he will look very small against big Meehan. I donīt think that Prescar has the skills to outbox Meehan, so he has to go to war with him. Then we will see how tough Prescar really is. Meehan is a bit easy to hit, so Prescar might try to take him early with some haymakers. Allout might be the best idea for Prescar?
This fight reminds me a lot of Oleg Platov vs. Danny Williams. A young kid against a crafty veteran. I also expect the result to be simular. War in the early rounds and pretty soon the experience of Meehan starts to show and Meehan stops Prescar in rounds 3-6.

Now according to boxrec Meehan takes on Jeremy Bates. Is Prescar injured or did he pull out becouse his team know that Meehan would had been too much for him at this stage?

Or, maybe Meehan and the promoters wanted someone easier? What are the facts here. This sucks. I was looking forward to Meehan vs Preskar.
