A verbal agreement has been reached between Golden Boy Promotions and Premier Event Management (PEMG) for a May 31st, 2008 showdown in Las Vegas between Shane Mosely and Zab Judah.

are you serious? I got Zab Judah in this one, Judah's southpaw stance, speed and power will be too much for the aging Sugar Shane. Judah is one of my favorite fighters, so of course I'm bias. :D

That came out nowhere. Interesting match up, though. Too bad it's in Vegas, where they'll have to wear 10 ounce gloves instead of 8.

Great fight for boxing. I'll go with Shane by UD. Won't this fight take place at 154 since Zab's last fight was at that weight and doesn't Shane want to go back up?

This is a really good fight. I'd take this over the Mosley-Mayorga match-up. I'd be surprised if this doesn't end up on pay per view. Hope not. The welterweights keep putting out quality fights. The best keep mixing it up, I hope Mayweather gets in on the action before its too late.

Hmm...I'm ahuge Mosley fan, but Zab being a fast southpaw, i dont likie it. prime for prime its no contest, but Shane might have a very tough fight on his hands.

i thought the mayorga fight was signed
as did I, I suppose for Shane's sake I would rather he fight Mayorga. I see it as a fight where he has the potential to completely own the ring maybe even shut Mayorga out. And in a way it will vindicate his losses to Vernon (not really, but I'm a Mosley fan and that's how I'll see it).
As for Judah I don't see shane shuting him down completely, although I do believe Zab will start to fall apart when he realizes the old man is just as quick as he is. But it'll be a harder fight no doubt.
Shane by UD in both scenarios.

I will say Mosley takes out Zab in the later rounds. Zab wont be able to hurt Mosley. How many times has Mosley been hurt? I think he went down once against Forrest and thats it.
Zab will be torn apart by Mosley. Zab will break down as usual and get KTFO!

:happy :happy :happy :happy I like Zab Judah..this guy doesn't know when to quit.
Mosley via 10th round TKO, there should be fireworks.

Can never count out a fighter with the kind of fighting spirit that Shane Mosley has ;)

Damn didn't see this one coming, but this is like a perfect intriguing match-up. Guaranteed to be an exciting fight and I have Mosley coming through in the late rounds to win the fight. No offense, but Judah is just too dumb.

good, hopefully Mayorga and Forrest rematch...
I'll go with Sugar Shane by KO over ZAB
this is going to be a great fight il go with shane by ud but i would have prefer i judah won. judah is one of my fav fighters for the first half of the fight lol
After Zab losses he will be the next Vargas: high profile, exciting champ who just couldn't beat the best.

Easy W for shane. Shane cant and will not be hurt Juda fades and mosey is a good puncher. I think shane wins by decision or late KO

Sugar's gonna outclass Zab. Zab will take the early rounds, then have a meltdown later on and get UD'd.

Zab Judah is so fun to watch. I'd watch him fight Mayorga too!!!
Wow, very interesting fight. I love watching both of these guys and right now, without thinking a lot about the matchup I would favor Mosley. He looked pretty damn good against Cotto and I think he has enough left in him to beat Judah, who won't be able to outbox Shane for the majority of the fight. Hopefully the winner can fight Margarito (if he gets past Cintron) and beat his ass.

Mosley is older but a fresher fighter than Judah who took beatings in his career and is shot now.

Nice crossroads fight, although it would have been better a few years earlier. Still interesting though, and props to Zab Judah. No matter what you think of the guy, he shies away from no-one and steps up to the plate.
Another good thing is that Forrest can now fight Mayorga.
Good news all around IMO.

Another big fight for Zab Judah... He hasn't beat a good opponent since Cory Spinks three years ago, he got a beating by Cotto and looked lackluster in his last two fights.
Mosley is old but still just as fast as Judah, and he is tougher, he gave Cotto all he could handle, plus he got a good chin.
So I say Mosley by KO or TKO, in the middle rds. A good win for Mosley to get back on track.

Mosley-Judah would be nice. It's the best option if Shane won't fight for a world title.
However I'd much rather see Mosley-Williams as Schaefer mentioned Paul's name earlier and Williams is more than ready to take on Shane. That would be a terrific fight!
I cant see how Zab can win this. He will win the first 2 and get knocked out down the stretch.
Guaranteed to be an exciting fight and I have Mosley coming through in the late rounds to win the fight. No offense, but Judah is just too dumb.
Same here. Zab sucks. Get down, bitch! I'm looking forward to a possible chicken dance.
Don't ever play with matches.

You guys vastly under estimate Zab. I love Sugar Shane but this is a great bout and Judah will cause problems with his straight left for Shane as Shane never moved his head much and moves it even less now. Im expecting a Shane UD.
I just think people dislike Zab's personality so much they want to see him KO'd. I won't underestimate him, the dude can fight... for a few rounds until he loses his focus and ends up punching someone in the balls.

However I love the idea of Judah-Mosley THEN Mosley-Williams however I think Mosley will have trouble outworking Williams and if he doesnt KO Williams(which I think he can) he will lose a UD or SD

I was one to tell this was the only logical/ available opponent for Shane when people were taking Mayorga for granted. There was not enough to gain and a whole lot to lose for Mosley against "El Matador". Fighting Judah, he doesn't even has to gain weight but he can get a championship shot right away in the division where the best fighters/fights are. Same goes for Zab that needs to win to earn a rematch with either Cotto or Mayweather... This is a very good match with both skilled, fast-handed, classy boxer-punchers, just that I think Zab only has the sneaky delievery from southpaw stance as an advantaged weapon b'cause Shane has dealt with much stronger southpaws in Collazo and Wright and was able to cope with it at some extent... Judah can't possibly knock out Shane and nobody expects him to win the fight by points ( won 3 rounds against Cotto, 4 rounds at best against Mayweather, Mosley won 5 rounds against Cotto and 10 rounds against Collazo), Mosley UD12.
