I'm just finished rewatching Wlad's rematch and even though He's not an ATG. (yet)...I gotta say , his jab is fucking deadly...I've rarely seen anything like it.
He's generally super accurate and surprisingly fast too. You usually don't expect to see a jab like this from a guy of this size...
what a fucking frustration it must be for his opponents...an incredible jab with a reach advantage..deadly combo.

The stoppage wasn't premature at all...

He doesnt move his upper body at all, Wlad only steps backwards from punches and fights really stiff, its just a matter of time until he gets knocked out again.

You're probably right Mr perfect , maybe you should offer your teachings to Klitschko and tell manny Steward to fuck off. You could make some big time $$$$$...

But seriously...I'm not talking about his flaws here. Just about his jab...
and his jab alone....is like I said earlier...super impressive.

He looked fluid most of the fight and he used some lateral movement to deflect Lamon's punches and confuse Brewster so he could land his own.

You should watch the fight before commenting on it next time. I'm just trying to help here.....................

I respect Wlad and that he came back after those losses to win a belt again,
but you people cant take any criticism at all, its a legitimate complaint about his style, he is stiff, and thats why he doesnt fight well going backwards and thats why he got knocked out by Sanders.

and yes, I have watched the fight.

It's good to see that we all have such great fun with a big show that normally isn't worth to talk about. :smoke

Well, most of the Wlad fans don't mind criticism. I think Wlad should
use his deadly uppercut more when his shorter opponents bore in
head first in an attempt to bullrush Wlad. He has a terrific uppercut.
Just check out the Charles Shufford fight. But your critique makes
little sense. Wlad used constant lateral movement throughout the
Brewster fight and consequently oftened fired his left jab from
angles making it hard for Brewster to counter them. With his constant
circling movement and blazing left jab together with the occasional
well-timed clinch Wlad reminded me of a young Ali. He will never
equal Ali, of course, but he does possess similar skill sets even to
the point of backing just out of reach of an incoming blow and then
throwing a mean, quick counter jab.

don't about being knocked out but a guy who is moving forward like a Sultan or a Ruslan or Povetkin and possibly Chris Arreola as he matures more
can give him fits cause of it.

Whether that will be enough to win is another matter.

I would have thought Sultan too, but his last two fights he's turned counterpuncher. Povetkin maybe but not for 4 or 5 more years. Noone else out there now really holds a candle to Wlad.

Chris Arreola will have to wait until WK is 50 to have a chance.

Wlad's jabs are indeed great and coupled with his size, it is a deadly combination. He also has a great workrate for a big guy.

Would have really been one for the ages if he was around like this during Lewis' prime.

In the Brock fight he proved the powerfullness of his straight right, then he showed a herculean left hook to almost kill Austin, now his jab to punish Brewster. He has a good arsenal of different punches, and good speed and power.
