Can't blame them not goign to UFC, I'd have second thoughts with the amount of pricks and fanboys involved.

But, oh man Duke, I seen this thread and thought you where implying he did sign for the UFC, gutted.

What the fuck? "You can't blame him"?

Bullshit I can't, he signed with a fucking pro wrestling company instead of a fight company, I can fucking blame him all I want.

I am amazed at how people are acting like fighters should stay away from the UFC. I mean... the top fighters are going in there and making great money, getting the best publicity in the world of MMA, and are getting huge sponsership deals. Get over it people.. the UFC isn't under the control of demons, as you would like to believe for gossip value.

Well, I guess he didnt want to end up like arlovski. Signing a 3 fight contract and when he nears the end of it, the ufc holds off on giving him another fight until he signs an extension.

yes the ufc isnt run by demons. theyre run by a shady obnoxious businessman. get it right

Fighting?

"supposedly" on the undercard against a titan Jack Obrien. Not to mention he has been on the shelf for a year.

Arlovski is fighting on the next card against O'Brien. The guy who beat Herring in his UFC Debut. Shitty undercard fight... but he is fighting.

Yea... but they did honor their contract for the correct amount of fight, in the correct amount on time. Yes, they were holding out, hoping that he would sign an extension before it ran out... but they still honored their contract.

That highlighted the fact that this is a shitty contract, and fighters should avoid signing contracts like that.

Yup, meaning the UFC wants him back. For all we know AA could be pricing himself out of a contract.

Now we will finally get to find out the answer to the million dollar question: Can Mark Hunt be knocked out by a steel chair?

Well Fedor's life was saved by not signing in the UFC and look how great his career will be for the next couple years, and Mark Hunt made the right decision as well, Japenese pro wrestling is much better then to deal with the AntiChrist Dana White:patsch

I also take it that some of these guys don't know much about the profressional wrestling business either. A much more grueling, controlling, mind fucking, and life ruining racket than the UFC is running.

Well potentially, at HW now there are much better fights available for Fedor outside UFC than there are in it. When you think that there's possibly Couture (once the legal shit is sorted), Arlovski (once his contract is done), Barnett, Monson, Kharetinov, Overeem etc.

doesn't mean he'll even fight them....why hasn't he inquired about Barnett? Barnett's name doesn't even come up when Fedor has been considering opponents.

Barnett is busy at the moment, I'm fairly sure it will do at some point.

I mean I really can't see why Fedor should be scared of anyone given that he's proved he's clearly better than the new UFC champion conclusively, but that's just me.

I don't think Fedor is personally scared of anyone, it's his management riding his name and want to make sure he stays undefeated so that he is more valuable to them. And Barnett is busy now but he was even suppose to fight Alex at one point.....well what about Fedor, why could Alex fight the highest ranked guy outside the UFC but the worlds #1 couldn't?

If Barnett beat Alex first then that gives them something else to sell the fight on, fairly sure Barnett would beat Alex pretty comfortably. I can see why they'd do that. Fedor gets to try and avenge his brother.

If Fedor ends up fighting the guys I think he will his resume will be pretty stellar, no excuses now for sure after he had the tune up against HMC. But no way he's afraid.

But seriously, if he's making comparable money elsewhere I don't see that UFC would appeal to him, now even less than it would at the time. Couture and Arlovski are leaving, and those were probably two of the three biggest fights for him there along with Sylvia.

I mean now there's Nog (beaten), Cro Cop (beaten), Sylvia (good match up, but worth it in comparison to what he can have outside UFC?), Gonzaga (if he can't do anything against Werdum he sure as hell can't against Fedor), Werdum (hard to buy him as a threat to Fedor really), Vera (lol), Mir (lol), Lesnar (lol), Kongo (he'd probably get Zuluzinho'd)

Just nothing there. For comparisons sake I'd like to see someone like Kharetinov have a go at UFC. I think he'd handle people like Vera and Mir pretty handily.
