View Full Version : So tell me guys... what are Dings chances?

I havnt seen his opponent fight, and seen very limited fights of Ding himself. I know he posts here... he looks like a very heay hitter and comes forward looking to knock you out with almost every shot. I need to see more of him... cuz thats about all i know.

but what of his opponent? ive heard a few people picking him to win the fight.... is he favored?

im just looking for a breakdown of the fight...

good luck to ding, hope he knocks him out...

I can't be in-depth about this since I don't know BJ in particular well enough, but it seems like your classic boxer vs puncher fight.

Ding can get the flashy knockout he wants so badly so long as he goes about it the right way. He doesn't want to be playing the bull to Flores' matador all night long, but if he does the right things to break BJ down then he'll get the win.

Pretty good. Flores' chin is shaky, and he fights like a blown-up version of Peter Manfredo.

Ding will always have a punchers chance, even if he's being outboxed. I hope he goes in and is physical with Flores, if so Flores wont have the chance to outbox him. I'm taking Ding by KO 7.

Flores is a solid contender at 200 lbs and has an excellent amateur pedigree.

I am cheering Ding on but this fight is a huge risk for the Ding-a-Ling man.

that's what im saying...bj flores has what it takes to beat ding, power, speed and some good boxing skills....as long as he don't get into a slug fest with ding, i can see him winning this fight...but if he decides to bang it out, i can see ding ko'ing him...

The big factors in this fight is Wilson's stamina late in the fight and Flores ability to avoid the big bombs.

Wilson is about a 2/1 favorite. Not quite, but close.

Sounds reasonable- there's some money to be made there for those who think he'll KO Flores, which I'd say is the most likely outcome.

For his part, though,I hope Ding's not as overconfident as this board is about this matchup...Flores has the ability to outpoint him if he's not 100% focused. I'd make DW a clear favorite, but not an overwhelming one.
