Sometimes a massive impact spread across a surface like a boxing glove can concuss and stun so quickly that indeed, you are out cold without having even felt the punch.

I've been knocked out cold twice playing rugby, and neither time hurt, it was seriously a case of being awake one minute, and coming to the next minute. Apart from a bit of throwing up afterwards from concussion, there was no physical pain.

However, I think what you guys are getting at is that Vic is trying to make out he wasn't affected by the punch at all, which is pretty funny.
