For me was clearly Montiel, clearly keeping a strong hold as one of the most active and impressive boxers in the lighter weights...his win was as impressive as his left hook....

Mijares, Montiel. Mijares looks like he's boxing in the matrix!

Montiel shined. He looked good doing it and made it look like easy work. The way he set up Castillo for the check hook was briliant. He started to jab to the body and faked a jab to the body and had Castillo blocking his ribs and caught him with the check hook in the first round. Then he jabbed to the body again and caught him over the top with the right hand. I mean classic breaking down of an opponent. Thats who shined to me. Mijares is all offense and just punches. He slips punches but he just stands there after throwing a combo.

I agree. I think Valuev was also impressive! He fought a good paced fight and won on all cards on my scorecard imo. So he gets my vote for most impressive tbh. Can't wait for the Chagaev fight. Valuev sees revenge.

I for one thought that dumping his old trainer was a really bad move... But I think hes adapting well this his current one.

Valuev get my vote for most impressive and also improoved. :D

I was most impressed with Montiel finally not wearing booty shorts. He kinda let me down though, I was used to those 1950's basketball short numbers he used to wear and warned the guys I was watching the fights with that Montiel's theme song could be "Who wears short shorts", and then he comes out with longer, somewhat acceptable ones.

Navarro had a good gameplan and nullified Mijares whole offense in the first round. Too bad he didnt stick with what worked and just kept firing off left hands over the top when Mijares was clearly ducking it every time. The one time he threw the left uppercut he cracked Mijares square in the jaw. Mijares is still green and makes mistakes. His jab and combo punching are insane though. But he is not the total package these blind mice seem to think he is. Navarro is not a smart fighter, if he went to the body instead of head hunting like a complete goof, Mijares would not of looked so good. Easy to give good head movement when the guy you are fighting throws the same punches over and over.

You know I been saying the same shit for the last year or two. I love Montiel but the dude fights in his underwear......... I made a thread about it months ago, others tend to not agree and not find it funny. Kolya you are my dude.

 Those things were still pretty damn short and were well above his knees.

Anyway, I liked how he switched up his attack and finished the fight in the southpaw stance.

Yeah, but they were better than the old ones; the ones he wore like when he fought my boy Too Sharp; I seem to remember not being sure if he was actually on his way to a swim meet and got lost.

Martin Castillo

Kidding, Mijares for me.

Taylor was the fighter of the night. He worked really hard, and was an all around better fighter than his last showing.

The runner up to fighter of the night has to go to Mijares, I learned from him fighting, and I am a fighter, it was like watching Hopkins or Mayweather and just learning and being entertained. I definitely have a crush on his style of boxing. Really like this guy. First time seeing him.

For me it was Montiel, his precision and accuracy against Castillo was dead on. Mijares took a lot of punches in that fight, I thought his defense was going to be better in the fight, but Navarro was a great opponent.
