Would Esteban prevail over 15 or would Edwin stop him within five?

DeJesus would survive the initial bombs and take Rosario sometime in the second half of the fight.

DeJesus TKO10

DeJesus TKO10Agreed. Esteban showed his fast starting ability in flooring Duran early twice, so Chapo wouldn't be able to catch him cold. Vita had a 15 round pedigree, while Rosario became a champion exclusively by virtue of a new shortened 12 round limit, in a match where he was fading badly, and would have unquestionably lost, had it been scheduled for the classic legitimate championship distance of 15 rounds. Rosario does not get to the final bell.

De Jesus was second only to Duran in that era of his, and that puts him a couple of notches above Rosario. Edwin would be most dangerous in the first two rounds, but then De Jesus would take over in the middle rounds and the ref would have to stop it in 8 or 9.

I think the fight would be very simular to the Camacho match. A very fast boxer, who moves around the ring well. But once DeJesus tastes Rosario's power. He would rely on speed & defense. Rosario would then go on the offensive & that is when he is at his best, charging forward & throwing bombs. Rosario would have DeJesus on the defensive enough to squeak out a twelve round decision. But if it went fifteen, DeJesus would turn the tide & get the decision his way, especcially if Rosario is hindered by Swollen eyes or cuts. Which has been prone to happen to him.

A very difficult fight. I would give the edge to Dejesus in a 15 rdn fight.

Somehow I doubt it.

Dejesus was better. I could see Rosario making the distance over 12 but not 15. Dejesus didn't run from Duran and he certainly wouldn't run from Rosario, just show his punch the proper respect.

rosario gets out boxed and out fought and stopped around the 8th, the fight would be competative but but dejesus being harder to hit (a tighter defence) is always landing more shots

Esteban weathers some early thunder to stop Edwin in the 13th, though Rosario would still be on his feet.

I like Ed Rosario over DeJesus.... Why? Cuz Ed Rosario did better against boxers who sought to keep their distance more so over a pressure fighter like "Ramirez, Chavez and that Japanese dude in 1992 Hiranakou." DeJesus would not pressure Chapo, but try to box his ass...

Forgive the spelling of the Japanese guy who wasted Rosario in '92 Mexico..... Still, Rosario was waxed...

Great fight. Rosario was not only power, actually he was very fast at his best (vs Davis Jr), and knew how to box pretty well......
I can see a very close fight with a controversial decision.....maybe SD to De Jesus because of his better jab.
