The only difference between then and now is that Wlad punched himself out and was incapable of continuing at the same pace he was fighting and easily winning up to that point!

Brewster was unchanged in either fight. It was Klit who changed, and therefore, changed the outcome.

Even Brewster told Merchant he was the same relentless Lamon Brewster as he was in the first fight, but that Wlad's new and improved jab was too much to get past.

I saw no major differences between the 2004 Brewster and the Brewster from last weekend. Same guy eating punches and trying to land his own. The speed, weight, everything was similar.

I agree, the first and second fight is pretty much exactly the same, except Wlad didn't gas out this time and apparently Brewster became "shot" since Wlad didn't get tired.

The fight would definitely be more competitive because Brewster was willing to take some bombs to get in close. This version wasnt willing to do that. I dont think he would win, and possibly he would get knocked out quicker, but I think it would be lot more exciting and he would at least have a chance.

Brewster didn't change too much, the difference is in Wlad.

I think Klitschko would win. Even when he lost, it seemed to be sort of a fluke. With his new and improved pacing and technique he likely would have finished off the job. Brewster is likely much more shopworn these days after the beatings he's taken. He often took severe punishment for his victories, and the first fight with Klitschko was no exception. But you have to think that the 3 years in between then and now have taken their toll on him. The only caveat is that you can't clearly see the difference because Brewster taking punishment looks like what...looks like the same old Lamon Brewster.

I really dont get the difference. This fight was almost a complete replica of the last fight, minus the part where Wlad tires out and Brewster taps that ass.

That's how I see it. Brewster wasn't as sharp and as determined as in 2004, but except of the last round, the rematch was similar to the first encounter. The main difference is that Klitschko didn't suffer a break-down in the second fight.

Wlad would have beaten him sooner, remember the Vlad of today had to overcome the loss, Brewster had the Ko over Vlad in his mind, but like he said he was the same guy,Vlad changed and improved
