We had a guy in our gym who was about 5'10 and was super heavy. Just depends on your skills and how you use your advantages.

i fought at heavy and i am 5'9" ish...its was hard, because the ams are mainly points based, getting inside without your oppo landing a soft scoring shot is difficult, this makes winning on points tough...

if you can drop to lower weight class you should, as your punch resistance will likely be more formidable at 201 and under than at super heavy and considerably more at 178, all of the open fighters in these weight classes would be considered big guys, most at 178 are natural 200 pounders, just keep this in mind as you get experience. but like i always say, dont worry about your weight til you actually get some experience and actually become a boxer, too many beginners think too far ahead, one step at a time

i have some experience,i have 13 fights so far.I only have 3 losses.im just wondering because im 210 now and im 5 eight and a half, and i dont know if its worth continung or if my body is made for that class.
