body shots

any of u guys notice when mayweather does bodyshots such as right hooks or left hooks, he sometimes punches with the inside of the glove sort of a slapping motion. Do u guys think it stil hurts the opponent or is it more of a scoring blow??

slaps are illeagal. they wont score points and they dont hurt.
the odd one or two are bound to land, but nobody throws them intentionally.

one time i was sparring a guy from my club, he loaded up on a body shot and i anticipated it, it hurt alittle and thats it, next time he threw a flurry and managed to get in a left 'slap' to the body which made metake a knee and gasp for air.

shots to the body do hurt, i would rather be hit hard in the head than caught well in the body....

They hurt more because there is no padding on that part of the glove. Shouldn't score though.

disagree, impossible to get full leverage into a slap. they might hurt more on the outside, but body shots are all about damage on the inside!!:hey

Slapping hurts the body easier, i.e needs less technique and precision.
