I am a fan of aussie fighters competing on an international level. However, the strictly domestic stuff doesn't really interest me as much. I find it hard going from watching the speed and power of Miguel Cotto, to watching Jungle Boy run in with his head down throwing haymakers. Its not that i don't like it, just that i prefer top level international boxing. To me its kind of like watching womans basketball when you could be watching the NBA... it just doesn't compare. I don't have fox either, so it makes it very hard for me to keep track of. Guys like Kickett, Zappa, PIttman ect ect are all very good fighters to watch.

Fair call. My post was probably a bit harsh in hindsight. I have seen some great fights from domestic level guys. I just prefer international level guys thats all. Womans basketball was a bad analogy. Probably more like watching Sheffield Shield when you could be watching a One Day International.

that is very tru mate, last year in tipping comps for rugby league which i watch every game, and am very very knowledgable about the game i could tell you who would win the game but if i dont like them personally as a team i will not tip them, so teams such as melbourne manly and north queensland are my most disliked hence i never tip them, dragons are tipped every week no matter what and so are penrith because they are always interesting needless to say i came very close to last after i was expected to win the fukn thing hahaha.....

mate damo fought him late last year and thru about 30 punches a round and took garths best with out any trouble.
so this time around damien in fitter, stronger and i think for the first time in his career he in mentally ready. if he stick to our fight plan i think he will stop him. he will rattle a few cages in his next few fights.
but i just found out that his fight against leroy brown is off. and that leroy is retiring due to family problems

sounds good buddy, who is leroy brown? i keep hearing about him but have no idea who people are talking about, is he that good or smething? if so shame he is retiring....
damien must love the sport because i cant imagine him ever getting a payday of over a couple of grand, so good on him for still trying to improve many people will just chuck it in and become happy to loose fihgts just to get the pay check at the end of the day.....

yeah was a good night from waht i was.
first fight saw davey get dropped in the early rounds to come back for the win. looked well of hes game but.
second fight ashley white looked in control till he suffered a broken nose in the second round, and they just looked uninterested and hot stopped by a great uppercut.
third fight saw damien get beat in first round. imo he lost it b4 he got in the ring. he was just so nervous. after 17 fight i thought that he could control them but i was clearly wrong. he started great got his jab going great but there was no right hand to follow. then garth hit him with a great right hand and dropped damien. i thought he was luckey to be able to continue. grath came in for the kill and dropped him again so i threw the towel in my boy had had a enough. fill crdit to garth he looked good.
fourth fight saw charlie get a draw. in a typical charlie fight all action. his opponent gave a great account of him self.
didnt see the awad fight.

sorry to hear buddy, you cost me a tip!!! grr lol jokes mate better luck next time, nerves are a bitch in any sport but sometimes you need to learn to use them in your advantage i remmeber playing footy and sometimes i was so nervous, i would take up every second hit up for the first few sets to calm down, after about 15 mins i was fucked but it was a memorable 15 thats for sure hahaha....

Victor Oganov vs Kariz Kariuki - PABA & WBO Asia Pacific Super Middleweight Titles.
Terrific round of matchups in Australia, 1 of the best of the year i would say.
Other matches include names like Wayne Parker Jnr, Fred Mundraby, Pieter Cronje, John Hopoate & evenly matched Shaun Quagliotto vs Garth Wood over an unconfirmed amount of rounds just on the Townsville card.
In Sydney, you also have a match Junior Talipeau should dominate easily, heavy punching South African Import Daniel Bruwer & Sedat Tasci.
On Sunday in Victoria, u also have 2 tough imports Leon Maratas & Eric Anaba going at it over 6 rounds.
Also we got small cards at Bateau Bay, NSW & Caloudra, QLD to round off the weekend!!!

Dominic Vea vs Junior Pati - 6 Rounds Heavyweights. Tho Vea may come in at around 200 pounds.
Joker Match
Daniel Iannazzo vs Kartu Arang - Vacant Australian Super Bantamweight Title.
Reason why i choose this match as the Joker was that these 2 fought to a split decision late last year.
Rather quiet weekend in Australia, every match remotely important is on the tips.

AUSTRALIA’S world-rated featherweight Billy Dib has scored an impressive stoppage of Filipino Leon Maratas in Sydney.
Dib, now working with Jeff Fenech’s legendary trainer Johnny Lewis, improved his record to 19-0 (10 KOs).
The fight - at the Orion Function Centre in Campsie on Friday night - was halted at 1min 58sec of round five as Maratas (8-3) lost his third fight in a row.
``Billy finished the job in style,’’ said Lewis, who has trained five world champs, including all-time greats Fenech and Kostya Tszyu.
``He was very professional in his approach and execution and he shows a ton of potential.
``It was a good win after he struggled a little bit in his last fight in America and once he gets his confidence up he has the skills and the class to win a world title.
``The really great thing about Billy is that he has such a tremendous family backing him up and giving him all the support in the world.’’
The promoter of the fight, Billy Hussein, who trains such top fighters as Vic Darchinyan and Hussein Hussein, said Dib’s potential was limitless.
``With a new trainer and doing a few different things Billy looks set to really climb the ladder,’’ Hussein said.
``A late stoppage meant he got a few good rounds under his belt and he will only get better under Johnny.
``He really wants to be world champion.’’
On the same card, Mohamed Elomar (16-1) needed only 41 seconds to stop Brendan Batty (11-18) with a left hook in their Australian super-featherweight title fight.
Manny Pacquiao’s former sparring partner and Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Lenny Zappavigna (14-0) stopped New Zealand light-welter David Wiremu (14-17) in round two.
Super-middleweight Peter Kazzi outpointed Damien Smith over eight.
Light-welter Robert sanders stopped Bobby Antonokas in four and super-middle Anthony Oddo outpointed Aaron Ryan in two.
