So, who wins this one? Go Foster - Hope he gets revenge. Mathews boxed out of his Skin last time and Foster was so Lethargic would have liked him to stay at superfeather.

I'm rooting for Foster Jnr too.

I recall him saying he felt much stronger at super featherweight before the Arthur bout but this fight gives him the opportunity to win a Title off an old foe so he has a clear incentive to come back down in weight for this one.

The Heamatoma (SP?) that Steveie got in the first fight really affected his performance so he never really got going. Mathews boxed well too though - so not taking anything away from Derry.

Think that this rematch is a great fight in the making. Derry looking good at the moment and Foster Jnr was fantastic against Arthur.

Roll on April 5th! Same day as the grand national too - I think ....

Stegsie - do you know if Foster Jnr is planning to remain at featherweight?

What weight do you think he is most comfortable at?

Matthews used his height and reach well to box Foster at a distance, Foster's pretty come forward pressure fighter who was troubled by Derry's jab.

Wasn't Foster supposed to be weight drained for feather so he moved up to Super Feather though?

Hoping for another Matthews decision, I thought there was potential In him when he fought Foster Jr the first time, he just needs to keep It cleaner.

Max - how do you think Matthews will fare against Luevano IF he beats Foster Jnr?

Luevano will counter punch his head off.

Cook didn't have the stamina to keep up his aggression which was sucessful when he could. Maybe If Matthews has the fitness to pressure him considering he towers over the featherweights, he might have a chance eventually.

I have to admit Derry was quite lucky i thought it should have been a draw, that early knockdown messed everything up for derry, when he got back into his ryhtm in about the 9th or 10th if i can remember correctly, he started to get simpson into some trouble but simpson would just hold. TBH i really thought it should have been a draw because simpson didnt do enough in my eyes to take the title

Oh is Khan fighting?

If khan fight goes the distance it will be bollocks as Itv seem to show the main event first.
Then there wont be time to watch the SFJ fight, which is what i would rather see.

Foster jnr is a beast at super-feather & a pussycat at feather, I cant believe hes dropping down again, especially to rematch a guy who already beat him handily.
Matthews to win by wide UD.
