[Only registered and activated users can see links] You can say what you want about Floyd but you still had to respect him...... until this. What the hell happened. Boxing is a serious sport so why are we letting Mayweather make a mockery of it with hand picked opponents, dancing with the stars and now this.......... We all need to ban this clown and stop watching his corny fights until he gets serious and fights the likes of Cotto, Mosely, Margarito, Cintron and stop looking for attention. He gets boo'd in his own sport so he'll do just about anything to get some cheers including WRESTLING in the WWF:patsch

Wow..ok you might want to relax a little bit. Its not that serious. Its just entertainment. And I don't think anyone can lie that when floyd is in the ring he always handles his business and conducts himself like a professional. I do agree however, that he does need to fight Cotto and others.

Cant say i was overly impressed , but then I've been re-watching Floyds career over the last few days / weeks and it has to be said the guy has done everything he possibly can. He beats everyone , he gets aggressive againt guys he probably shouldnt ( Ndou for example ) knocks guys out in their own backyard ( Gatti ) and still doesn't get the recognition he deserves. I wouldnt call myself a floyd fan but I can see why he would get involved in this nonsense.

This is ridiculous seeming how his win over Dela Hoya then Hatton has gotten him the attenton he's been dying for and now that he finally has everyones attention and all he has to do is be a man and fight the man, what does he do ??? He joins the circus. Be a man Floyd and conquer the division that all the top fighters are waiting for you

He needs to conquer the division I agree. But what the man does away from the ring shouldn't matter. It doesn't effect what he does in the ring( as it should against Hatton) so why should it matter.

I recall a certain Mr. Muhammad Ali having a staged match against Antonio Inoki back in the 70's.

It matters because he's not taking any fights that he should be taking ie Cotto cause he's to busy dancing and wrestling wasting time. Floyd is not a young man anymore and each fight he has gets closer and closer. He probably has three more fights if that left and one of them is wasted with a match with Hoya.

Hes only 30, not really old. Hes accomplished more then most in the sport. It would be nice if he fought Cotto, but what has Cotto done? Beating a Mosley whos on the downside of his career, and going life and death with Chop Chop and Ricardo Torres. You just dont like Floyd, thats fine, to each his own, but you cant argue with his accomplishments.

What has Cotto done ???????? How bout he has brought more excitement in his short career that Floyd has brought in his whole career. How bout he has made it exciting to watch fights again. How bout he fought and beat a Mosely that Floyd wont fight. How bout he KO'd a Judah that he went twelve rounds with. How bout he ducks no one and Floyd handpicks everyone. How bout he's ready to fight and Floyds making a fool outta himself by jumping on turnbuckles.

You make really good points here. But lets see if Cotto can win these next two fights, meaning gomez and the winner of Cintron/ Margarito. If he wins both then I thnk he surely deserves a shot at Floyd. Not that I don't think he deserves one now, but I think it would add up to more money and at this point thats what is driving Floyd to accept a challenge. Like it or not thats the truth. And by beating DLH and Hatton he put himself in a position of being the biggest draw in boxing now. Cotto has to continue to build his fan base to lure Floyd in the ring and make it finiacally worth his while.
Hey The Guy Is Just Selling Himself, And I Think What He Did At Wwe Might Even Bring Some New Fans To Boxing, So I Aint Mad At Him.
I knew we couldn't go a day without a " I hate Floyd" threads. He will fight Cotto and some others in the division. Just be patient then when it happens let him put the whoopin on these paper champs and call it a day.

I like that Floyd is basically saying "fuck you" to boxing. All people are doing is criticizing him, so he just leaves everyone hanging and goes off enjoying himself across the country and doing his wrestling thing.
But why should it matter what he does outside of the ring? i do think eventually he will fight Cotto if Cotto wins these next two. But whta happens if Cotto loses? Then what? BUt right now Cotto is the only fighter who has the potential to be a big money draw for Floyd and at this stage thats what he's looking for. Anyone else whould have to prove the can beat many of the other fighters in the division before they get a shot at him. I know that may suck but thats the advantages you get for being on top. He;'s not gonna go from making 25 million a fight to 8 or 9. Would you? (Hense DLH rematch) the person we should be blaming is DLH.

Fighters should fight, especially ones with big mouths and egos. You'd think someone as dominant as Floyd would have no problem taking on Cotto. There is an argument against Cotto not being a viable contender, but if NOT Cotto, then who? Retread DeLaHoya? Cotto is the guy at the top of the list, give him his chance! But even Floyd must have his doubts. Calzaghe, often critisized for failing to take on the best, is fighting in Hopkins backyard.
If Floyd fought Cotto in the garden it would be sold out. So what s the problem? Floyd must have his doubts.

Maybe, maybe not. But the bottom line is, and I'm not saying its right, but he's gonna make 50 dollars in two fights against DLH which who he knows he will mostly beat again. Don't blame him blame DLH for wanting a rematch and giving Floyd another option with more money than Cotto. If DLH would have not wanted to and reached out to Floyd for a rematch, he wouldn't have that option. Who's gonna walk away from 25 million especially if you know you have a more than great chance of winning?

It's not a big deal at all- wrestling's got a long history of having both boxers and football players do guest spots.
