Who had more at Light Heavy, and why?
Is it possible that Foster could of KO'ed Cooney?
Who else has power comparable to Foster at LHW?

Foster had better one shot power, imo his problem was his slender physique let him down when tangling with the rated big boys.Archie Moore probably comes closest to matching Bob,s power.Paul Berlenbach,Jack Delaney, and of course Fitz ,though he was faded at LH,bring up the rear.Non Champs,Choynsky,Langford,Lomski,Durelle,Depaula were all good hitters, the first two in particular, nearly forgot one Bob Satterfield, though he was really a cruiser.

Spinks with the right hand, Foster with the left. I will add Spinks left and Fosters right are pure devastation in their own right, let alone their other wings.

Don't know if Spinks could KO the ultra durable Dick Tiger with one shot...

At 175, it's Foster for me. He may be the hardest hitter of all time at the weight.
It's difficult to say if Foster could Ko someone like Cooney, because he didn't bulk up when he went to heavyweight. As it stands, I don't think he could have done so weighing 175.

Maybe he avoided "supplementation".
Maybe he just couldn't pack pounds onto that weird frame.

Foster never ever comitted to heavyweight either, he was 188 vs Frazier and 180 vs Ali. By comparison Spinks went at it harder, weighing 200 and 205 vs Holmes. Spinks went straight up intent on making a career there, where Foster kept coming back to 175 from lighter weights than Spinks went there at.

And Spinks carried added weight quite easily. He looked great at higher weights.

IMO, at LHW nobody hit harder than Bob Foster. Michael Spinks was also a power hitter at LHW but not quite like Foster.
But Spinks carried his power to HW while Foster did not. So it would have been highly unlikely for Foster to have kayoed Cooney the way Spinks did.

I think Foster hit slightly harder at LHWT. However, in a head to head battle I would favor the Jinx by kayo over Bob. Spinks had excellent success against heavyweights although he probably lost the second Holmes fight and got waxed by a prime Mike Tyson. Foster, on the other hand, was decisively and rersoundingly defeated by every good HW he fought.

I would pick Moore to beat Foster ,for the reasons you outline ,not sure Spinks could emulate him.

Eh.
Foster looked better going against Ali than Spinks ever did against any heavy, in my opinion.
Honestly, Tyson blew Spinks out in one.
In one of Frazier's very best performances, he blew Foster out in two. And you've got to factor in Frazier's 40 pound weight advantage, and Foster still rocked him if I'm remembering correctly.
Not even close foster had the power edge by wide margin.

Foster hit harder. The reason he probably would have lost to Cooney is that he didn't take as good a punch as Spinks at heavyweight.

Spinks was more of a durable guy but Foster was a devastasting puncher, Spinks was up there as a LTHVT puncher but behind Bob by a few degrees

I think Foster hit harder but Spinks also had more of a boxing style, and i'm not sure he commited to his punches as much as foster did.
