Leave it up to the NY Times to not do their homework. I'm thinking this Meriweather guy might be a factor in the upcoming Klitschko-Ibragimov fight.....

It's a typo man.. it happens. What they said about boxing shows that they actually do have insight to the sport.
Actually, five organizations recognize champions: the International Boxing Federation (Klitschko), the International Boxing Organization (also Klitschko), the World Boxing Oranization (Ibragimov), the World Boxing Council (Maskaev) and the World Boxing Association (Chabaev).
:rofl
And when did the IBO become a mainstream org.

For real though, I guess you guys are just glad to see boxing in such a highly regarded news paper, but at the same time a highly regarded news paper should AT LEAST take the time to make sure they are spelling the subjects names correctly. I could call one maybe two mistakes a typo, but they called Jeff Merriweather several times. Mayweather is a name anybody that's gonna write anything about boxing should know very well.
