Valuev.

He's pretty much the only available threat out there at the moment. Iggy, Chagaev, Peter are all tied up. Valuev/Klitschko seems like it'll be the most interesting fight to be made right now.

Valuev.

I purposely didn't include fighters that have fights already scheduled. Valuev is fighting some Canadian nobody, Bergeron or something like that.

I picked Holyfield. Someone wrote a nice article on why Ibragimov needed to not only beat Holy, but not him out brutally so the old guard can legitimately give way to the new. I liked the article, and I think it works just as well for Wlad.

He is? Hm.... how 'bout Lyakhovich? Lyakhovich is pretty tough, that oughta make for an entertaining fight.

Yeah, Briggs.. I forgot about him. I wanted to see those two mix it up when Briggs was still a champ.

Valuev - Ibragimov/Chagaev are busy with eachother...Peter/Maskaev are busy with eachother...Brock and Byrd make no sense right now

I would rather see WK fight any of these guys over Sanders, in roughly this order:

Chagaev
Ibragimov
Maskaev
Valuev
Liakhovich
Dimentrenko
Ruiz (Only to get rid of Huggy Bear once & for all)

After that it's about tie for Sanders or Holyfield, sorry but that's my opinion.

I've never seen Virchis fight and that one isn't going to break any records.....................

Fine choice but he's kinda missing in action & the haters would bust on Wlad for fighting another guy coming off a loss I'm pretty sure.

Interesting matchup anyway.

The smart move for Wladimir would be too fight Holyfield as it's a fight that would give Wlad world wide press and would be a big pay day. But most likely I see Wlad fighting Hasim Rahman or Juan Carlos Gomez because I really don't think Wlad wants too be in role of the bad guy beating on old man Holyfield.:hat

Which raises another point, if Wlad were in it just for the money he would fight Holy for sure cause that's where the money is. Shit, Holy's fight vs. Savarese was fuckin' PPV :rofl This one would go platinum!!!

Wlad is really out of any quality options at this point. There's nobody available to fight who actually deserves the fight:

Ruiz has lost last 2, doubt he'll even fight again
Valuev is coming off a loss and has a fight scheduled
Rahman --> The last thing this guy deserves is another title shot
Brock and Byrd rematches make no sense
Briggs is coming off a pathetic loss
Lyakhovic is coming off a pathetic loss and has been very inactive
Holyfield is nowhere near deserving of a title shot at this point (it's all name recognition with this guy)
Sanders has been inactive and only has recent wins against bums.

So whatever Wlad chooses will not be a good choice, considering the other 3 belts are all tied up until at least after his next fight and there's no good choice to make.

I think he should just go for the Sanders fight. It's probably the only opportunity he'll have to avenge his loss, and Corrie is no more or less deserving of a shot as some of these other clowns.

not Sanders unless he get's in shape and has a good fight against a fighter of note. Lyakovich seems to be waiting around for something maybe this is it.Valuev would be great but he's busy, so I think Sergei is the only guy with an open calender.

Sanders. For redemption, and because fighting Holyfield would be sad to see and I think Holy can still grab a belt so long as he doesn't fight Wlad now, which i'd like to see him do.

If Toney wasn't suspended i'd like to see Wlad fight him purely for entertainment, as it doesn't really mena anything other than satisfaction of seeing him get KO'd badly after being such a disgrace lately (and not just lately). Wlad would surely be the first to put him down and out.

Who else is there? Maybe he could fight Rahman, or Mesi. McCall would be a decent choice, I dunno if Wlad could stop him. I wanted to see Wlad-Valuev a lot more when it would have been a unification fight but it'd still be good now and probably one of the harder fights Wlad could take.

I would've said Mesi.. but while I don't like him, I don't necessarily want to see him killed, either. :patsch

I'd rather see Holyfield retire himself. It wouldn't be pretty to see him in with Wlad.
I hope Wlad doesn't push for this fight, and chooses other options if it is presented to him.

I'd like to see Wlad fight Peter after the Maskaev fight. Forget Sanders. Peter's way more of a threat.
Wlad obviously has what it takes to beat Sam, but Peter's power would make it interesting just like the first fight.

:patsch I can't beleive there are still people out there how want to see Briggs fight. :dead After his last two fights you should know that he will only "mix it up" against tomato cans. If he's in the ring with a halfdecent opponent he is boring as fuck and barely throws a punch in 12 rounds.

Somebody else, please.

Like Oliver McCall. Yeah, he's getting up there in age. But Holy & Sanders aren't?

McCall = granite chin & can punch like a mule. Not a good combo for Wlad. Don't you want to see him build his legacy fighting the most "dangerous" fighters out there instead of the "oldest"?

He should fight his compatriot Virchis on Ukranian soil.
Virchis is the reigning european champ, and quite known for his murderous firepower.Instead of facing one of those living American zombies like Hollyfield or Rahman he should try to give something back to the Ukranian nation.
Kiev's central soccer stadium would be sold out within hours.100,000 people watching Wlad take on a bloody dangerous compatriot on native soil.Wlad could become a living legend,a living God.

A rematch with Sanders doesnt mean that much anymore.Sanders is shot, and Wlad wouldnt get much credit for beating him.

Hollyfield,McCline,Rahman,Byrd,Brook,McCall-who really outside the USA wants to watch Wlad square off against one of those old geezer or limited American heavies.
The heavy weight division needs fresh faces.

Valuev would be a good choice ,too.

1. Brock/Byrd. Get the mandatory out of the way in crushing, decisive fashion. Then there will be no obstacle to unification.

2. Shannon Briggs

3. Thompson/Krasniqi winner

4. John Ruiz

5. Serguei Lyakhovich

Klitschko-Peter II would be the sell-out fight.

Chances are that a Wladimir vs. Holyfield would easily outsell a Wladimir vs. Peter rematch.

I think fighting McCall would, strangely enough, make some sense. It would free up the WBC title a bit and McCall is coming of a decent win.

I still really want Wlad to fight Valuev, for the spectacle of it, but I doubt Valuev would accept the challenge.

Sanders would be a "might as well get that over with" fight

Holy would be a "lets put a good name on my record and make a lot of money" fight

Wlad has said he will most likely fight in the US next, which means he will likely fight an American. The most likely candidates appear to be Briggs, Rahman, Holyfield, Ruiz or possibly Golota (not American, but calls Chicago home). None of these get me excited, but it's the best out there since there is no available title unification.

You can probably rule out Ruiz since he's coming off 2 straight losses and they'd have a hard time convincing anyone that he deserves a shot at a belt.

Briggs, then. You have the whole "ducking" controversy, the fact that he's a big puncher, a great highlight reel, good fight promotion (quite a mouth...), the fact that he's American, and the appeal of watching two huge heavyweights duke it out.

Wlad calls the shots.A fight between him and Virchis on Ukranian soil could be easily made.Probably HBO wouldnt be that enthusiastic about such a fight, but German tv would surely pay big money for such a fight.
Anyway! What does money mean at this stage of Wlad's career anyway!
He should think a bit about his compatriots in his native Ukraine.
A victory against Virchis at home in Kiev could transform him from a famous mortal into a living God.
What's more Virchis is surely worth of his steel.
He is one of the biggest bangers out there, and Wlad vs Virchis would be fun to watch as long as such a fight lasts.

Oliver McCall. Because McCall will tear his head off.

Sanders would tear his tits off too.
