To tell you the truth, I don't blame Cotto. His boss has really taken care of him. Arum put him in a position to win a paper title at 140 and pad his record without facing any legitimate threats. Arum then bought him a shiny new WBA title at 147, continued his steady diet of Floyd leftovers, fixed a fight for him,and is now giving him a nice set-up to look good against on HBO. Alright, I'm exaggerating about the fixed fight. Regardless, I wish my boss took care of me like that.

Well considering that Floyd is the "legitimate" 147lb WW Champ lets take a look at who has the more impressive WW record and fights...
Mayweather- Hatton (a JR WW) TKO, Baldo ( a journeyman who was a nobody who got lucky against judah and then went back to being a nobody) UD, Judah ( give credit where credit is due, zab was a legitimate threat and top ten WW) UD, Sharmba Mitchell (nobody journeyman)TKO
Cotto-, Mosely UD, Judah TKO, Urkal TKO, Quintana TKO.
You do the math.... I don't wanna hear any shit about linear champ and all of his accomplishments at 135 or 140. Floyd is currently the 147lb champ, who has fought the better fighters at that weight?

Like Ive said before MANY MANY times before 11/29/2001 there were a LOT of people in Philly who didnt even know who Hopkins was. I got a feelin this cunt was one of the few people who attended the Hopkins parade after the Tito fight. BTW only 50 people attended that parade LOL.........
You seem to be catching feelings. Is Cotto your boyfriend or something? I actually met Hopkins back in the early 90's when I was a little kid. You're right though, a lot of people around here didn't know who Hopkins was before that fight. I'm pretty sure alot of Puerto Ricans didn't know who he was either. They all know now.

I wouldn't go as far as you did in calling Cotto a yes man. So far his management has lined em up and he has knocked em down. I do agree he needs to be more vocal about who he wants instead of just saying he fights who ever is infront of him.
When cotto was at 140 he beat up Torres and Mali when they were a little too green to fight him. He did the same thing to Quitana for his WW belt. I think if those 3 had more experience back when they fought Cotto, it would have been better fights.

Nard only gets involved in important fights now. Maybe if Tito wins a couple of fights, they can fight again.

There is no way you can skew any of Mayweather's wins at 147 to be better than a win over Mosley, old or not
There is no way you can skew Baldomir to be anything other than a journeyman that got lucky. His losses are in double figures, I don't care if he was linear whatever
There is no way you can skew Hatton to be a better fighter than Quintana at 147, he very nearly lost to a less skilled fellow Puerto Rican southpaw

Its not skewing fights its a list of all the fights at WW each man has had. And Mosely may be past his prime, but he isn't exactly Hoya, Urkal could have been given 12 points he wasn't winning the fight by any stretch of anyones imgination, and yea judah came off a two year ban, but Judah said it before the fight, he never got beat up, UNTIL he fought Cotto. Oh and that GREEN Quintana just fought Paul Williams, who many people feel would beat Cotto and give Mayweather a run for his money, in his second fight after the fight with Cotto and decisively beat him. I know it obvious seems biased because i'm a cotto fan, but when you compare what they have done at WW Cotto has the better record and has fought the tougher opposition. And BigReg you claimed that Cotto was only fighting Mayweather leftovers which is why I compared the two records. And it does combat what you said about Cotto being protected, because he has been fighting better fighters than mayweather and if the comp cotto has faced is better than that of the "champ" how can you say he's protected?

Bob did not protect Floyd the way he did Cotto, he didn't need to. Floyd won his first title after only 17 fights and had beaten 5 titleholders in 4 weight classes by the time he dumped Arum. Cotto has yet to beat 1 titleholder. Furthermore, Arum kept Floyd in the dark for years; paid all the attention to De La Hoya.

Reg is a good dude like cooked food but he can be crusty at times....he reminds me of one of my best friends that we nicknamed "the angry black man" I love the dude but he can be quite the drama queen.

the whole idea of Cotto being fed Floyd left overs is a joke to be honest. btw floyd was promoted by arum too and well are you honestly going to expect Cotto to not have similar fighters on his resume as Floyd? Despite the fact that Cotto has some key opponents that Floyd hasn't fought that helped build Cotto's name...That whole idea is worthless and means nothing.
