After training I drink a pint of semi-skimmed milk, and add a few table spoons of powdered milk. The liquid milk alone has about 17g of protein. So I was wondering is this as good as drinking a protein shake or is there something else in protein shake that makes it better?

Dude - milk is one of the best protein sources available. Paul Anderson drank gallons of the stuff each day, never touched a supplement or a steroid, and is probably the strongest man in recorded history

sorry it was l8 when i posted
i read this in boxing news nutrition magzine if you wanted to know my source
bv stands for biological value this is how efficient our bodys use the protein
now with meat an dairy because its animal protein apparently our bodies have trouble using it all properly because after all we were not made to be meat eaters if you look at our teeth they are not sharp like a meat eater
there is more expanations but its been a while since i read the magazine about it but it was good enough to convince me

according to the sae magazine , we wernt meant to take in cows milk and the main fact i can remember was our bodies actually form an antibodie against it
