Guys I have a guestion
When I start my training I usually start with jump rope than stretching than shadoboxing after that I usually do some rounds on double end bag. When the time comes to hit heavy bag I am already little tired and after one or two rounds on bag I am exhausted. Does that mean that my condition is poor and I need some road work or something or is it natural that after 2 rounds of jum rope 3 round of shadow boxing and 3 rounds of double end bag my condition on bag would be worse?

Well, I guess that depoends on how hard you're jumping rope and hitting the double end bag. Still, 3 rounds shadowboxing, 2 rounds jump-rope, and 3 rounds on the double end bag shouldn't be exhausting you.

I would suggest saving the double end bag until after the heavy bag, because it is more skill-intensive rather than conditioning (you can work the double end bag even when you're tired. The heavy bag you could too, but as you have seen, it is much less effective). This should let you work the heavy bag alot harder while still allowing good work on the double-end.

Even with your current schedule though, you should be able to do more than a couple rounds on the heavy bag, so yeah, if you have time road work is never a bad idea.

BTW how long have you been boxing?

The_Hammer[/B]"]you can work the double end bag even when you're tired.

yes, agreed very much. loveforboxing, you should do 3 jump rope rounds, then a few shadow boxing, then heavy bag, then the speed bag, double end bag, etc. It's not that uncommon to feel tired; jumping rope does work shoulders quite a bit - especially if you're doing double unders, sprint crosses, etc.

As for the roadwork, you don't need to do long runs every day, just a few times a week, and make sure to get sprints in their a few times a week.

younghypnotiq, you do roadwork 6 times a week? what do you do, like, a 5 mile run in the mornings or something?
