Does anyone know what was said or done to start the ongoing feud between these two? Who started it? Or is it just all about money?
Most people will tell you how good a bloke both Mundine and Green are outside of the ring, so why do they hate each other so much?

I used to hate Danny Green because I thought he was just riding Mundines publicity wagon (I still think he does to an extent), but now I really like Greeny and will probably be going for him this time round against Mundine.

Fenech started the whole thing.

Green will say that Mundine started it by calling him a bum, and Mundine will say that Green started it by wanting to fight him.

I'm fairly sure Fenech started it by telling Australia that Danny would beat him if they fought, then Mundine retaliated by calling Green a bum, ect, and the rest is history as they say.

Though sadly I feel theres more to this beaten to death story.

yeh and green followed. He criticised mundine for the fact that he was a rugby player and not a real boxer.

I remember the heated interview with Choc and Fenech where Jeff had a t shirt with floats like a butterfly on the front and sleeps like a log on the back with Mundine out cold after Ottke lol. I remember wanting one of them.

I remember wanting one of them.I think Oztriker may have made those shirts. I remember him tellimg me Fenech bought 20 shirts off him that he made. I can't remember if it was that one, but I know it had Mundine's KO loss to Ottke on it.

Green was an up and coming SMW after doing well at the Shi-do-nay Olympic games, Fenech was looking to find a fighter that could knock Mundine down a peg or two, Green ascended the ranks well, Mundine avoided him (YES, TRUE!!!).

It got personal when Mundine called Green a bum.

They don't hate each other, that was a carry-over from Green's Fenech days, it was basically a case of the 2 best SMW's in Australia pitting their talents against each other and unfortunately Green came up short when they finally did.

But I tell you, if they rematch, I'm gonna go for Green again, because I think he will be a different beast second time around - what he did in their fight was damn stupid, and he will have more sense about him second time around.

They could have fought ten times at SMW and mundine would have beaten him every time.

At LHW Green has more of a chance but I would give mundine the edge 60-40 as Mundine is comforatable at the higher weight too, from his NRL days.

i probably wouldn't watch it mind.

Green definitely looks healthier at LHW.

The 'sickest' I've seen him was at SMW when he fought Mundine, he basically chased the body all night, and Mundine toyed with him.

I can only hope that if they do rematch at LHW, he'll have a clear mind and a plan B to fall back on, because his first showing vs Mundine was pretty fucking ordinary.

Whenever I see a fight like Green vs Mundine, I'm always shouting "STOP CHASING THE SKINNY WEE CUNT, LET HIM COME TO YOU!!!"

Just out of curiosity how did everyone score that fight?
I had it 118-111....to Mundine obviously...

I think a fight against Kessler would be a good fight.

I don't think Mundine shld step up to LHW.

Green will always need the Mundine fight more then the opposite way around..............both have plenty of moola so that's not an issue.

In 5yrs or 10yrs or even in 25yrs time, Mundine will always have that victory over Green :yep

I am just a fan so dont know shit:bbb But it seems that it is a done deal dosnt it. I mean, lets just look at it from a very basic point, the rematch has a lot of money in it. For Green its a chance at redemption (while I feel Mundine will win, Green is looking very good at can KO him), and for Mundine its a chance to win a world title at light heavyweight.

I know some fans are against it. But gee, there are so many valid reasons for a rematch.

I once said on here that Mundine dosnt need the boxing world. I got bit down for that. What I mean is that Mundine has created his own market along with Danny Green. I think you will find the Green Mundine rmatch is a done thing ****** and Khoder just waiting for the right time

hey kel, mundine will always have the win over green, but green will always be a legit world champion, and an interim champion once, where choc will never have a legit world title, only 2 reserve/interim titles, and the only champion he would have beaten would have been an interim champ in green, until green won the legit title, unless choc steps up.wonder what means more to him, beating green or retiring as a real world champ???!!!

And cab drivers 2 Mr 2 short...I'd rather see Briggs in the ring with Green myself!

green should def tae the fight

mundine should def take the fight.

green for redemtion and if he doesnt get it he has been wrld champ now and thats a greateffort and mundine caus he needs that legitimate title to say he the top of an organisation at least.

It was the same with green he said his interim title meant just as much until he won the proper one then the line i loved "You cn stick your interum title right up your arse" or something along those lines.
