Hmm Lazcano's never been an elite level fighter at any level, just a fringe level, but I suppose if Quintana can then so can Juan
If they get Malignaggi/Torres on the undercard lined up for a potential fight it might not be such a waste of time after all

Oh goody goody.
Nah, good for HCP I guess. He can get this done. My pulse certainly isn't quickened though. :yep

I very much doubt Malignaggi and his ego will agree to an undercard slot, without even entertaining him fighting in UK on undercard. Whats the possibility of Witter-Malignaggi on the undercard? Very little right?? Even tho Witter-Hopkins seems to have fallen through. Actually, near impossible thinkin of it.

Eh, it's at least funny. Many don't even have that going for them and are just awful.

No, you're 100% wrong, that title has been held for over 20 years by Johnny "the entertainer" Nelson.
You have to watch his fights to realise just how sack-splittingly amusing his nickname is.

Johnny Nelson is definitely underappreciated

Read recently that Ngoudjo tried to take Hopkins' spot against Witter but that he was turned down.
A double main event, like the Hatton - Urango/Castillo - Ngoudjo would be good.
Sets up his next fight nicely, I hope it's Malignaggi.

Although he's pretty tall Lazcano is the guy coming up in weight. I was surprised he lasted the distance with Harris. Like to see him win Ricky is a bitch who runs from Junior Witter. He shouldn't be allowed back in the states without fighting one of the best in his division from the U.K.

I dislike Lazcano's nickname, cause its the Hispanic causing panic I guess rhyming using the same word or a root word is a pet peeve of mine. You gentlemen may be right though perhaps there are worse

Haha, bit harsh! Im sure Hatton wont retire without a W against Witter on his resume. Who do u guys see as the biggest threat to Hatton, Witter or the Magic Man??

Malignaggi isn't a threat to anybody, he lost his last fight against a B- class guy

Castillo went life and death with that B- class guy, and Castillo's supposed to be Hatton's best recent win, right? :think

Not bad.
Lazcano is a Top10 contender, although Hatton's real challenges are Malignaggi and, obviously, Junior Witter.

What has this got to do with Hatton?
Since you brought it up, Castillo was shot as fuck, just as he was for Hatton. Why do you think everybody was saying that, leading into the fight? They didn't dream it up, Castillo had been showing all the signs
Malignaggi lost to a B- class guy, that's all there is to it. Home cooking as usual

What has this got to do with Hatton?
Everything, actually, as Malignaggi's name was only brought up as a tangent based on how much of a challenge he might pose to Hatton.
Remember?

I definitely think Witter a bigger threat than Paulie. Paulie is way too
fragile defensively, esp as he showed against Ngoudjo, and Hattons a much bigger puncher than him. Witter is more slicker and more technically proficient tha Malignaggi. Also, Paulie's KO power is absent, so Hatton will walk through most of his combinations.

Witter.
Fighting Paulie, Hatton will feel like he has an annoying fly buzzing around his head. Sooner or later it'll get swatted, though.

Witter easy, I just laugh at Paulie when I think of him wearing that "I survived the Cotto Experience" T-shirt he loves so much

Wow, I think this is VERY disappointing. I think a tune up is a fine, in fact not just FINE , but a good idea. But Lazcano is a long ways away from a competitive fight, and at his BEST was no where near Hatton's level!

Good choice. Lazcano is a solid fighter and has a good chin. He should provide us a good asessment of Hattons skills
really?
All the 140 beltholders must want Hatton, the best thing they can do is try and unify with each other to force his hand. If Witter beat Malignaggi, Hatton would have nowhere, (except Torres for 1 fight) to run.

Probably Hatton vs Malignaggi in New York. However, Malignaggi must have a convincing win between now and September if he wants to fight Hatton.

i certainly won't be paying for this shit. no doubt the masses of gormless hattonsexuals will do though. wicky will convince them that lazcano is a world class opponent and that witter doesn't bring enough to the table, yadda yadda........... :tired

Lazcano should be a good challenge for Hatton. He went the distance with Harris who went 7 rounds with Witter and he's been out for well over a year so he should be fresh.
