Legs are not useless a lot of punching power comes from them.

Big legs are very helpfull. Most of the punching power comes from the legs and the abs/low-back regions.

Boxing below your level (underperforming) and getting robbed. Both just make me feel dizzy and sick when the decision is announced.

Getting hit. I hate it.
Agreed. Also roadwork.

Definitely body shots.
That, and losing your consistency.

a shot to the liver or solar plexus is worse than anything i have ever felt.

Agreed, I prefer to get hit on the face any day of the week(although obviously i prefer not to get hit). It really is fucking amazing how some pros carry on walking through 10 20 body shots a round, i can't

I'll agree with bodyshots. A good bodyshot is many times worse than a good hit to the head.

thats not necessarily true. i've KO'd 9 of my 17 opponents and have met several hard punching amatuers. anyway, i hate roadwork and chasing after a guy who just jabs and runs. i hate it. oh, and i hate headgear. i find it annoying and useless. it prevents cuts, but i dont believe it protects anything else.

When you train hard all your life and some guy comes along and just has the natural ability and makes into the big time with little effort.

i hate amateur boxing. because none of my strenghts can be used. which are 1 ability to take punches, 2. being able to push through pain and tiredness, and three i can hit people hard

Well, solar plexus shots are tough to receive.. I've never actually gone down from one but I have been dazed.
Low blows sucks.
At one point I had to take a knee, I received a headbutt to my solar plexus in sparring.. yes he came in very low and it hurt like hell.

Ok, Rocky. Whatever you say. Didn't you just start boxing? So how the heck would you know what your style is or what works in a fight. You're just regurgitating the same shit you've heard elsewhere trying to sound like you're experienced and know something about the ams. If you're so strong and hit so hard, you should be able to overwhelm people and give them 8 counts, which referees in the amateurs do frequently if someone gets hit hard.

I agree on both. Which is why I've had trouble rewatching my fights from this year. I know I'm better than what I did in those fights, just all the reflexes and instincts weren't knicking back in, and I wasn't getting the sparring. So yeah, not performing on the level you know you can can be highly frustrating.

Getting hit. I hate it.
:good, that shit gets me annoyed sometimes. Especially if some1 manages to hit me with a good shot. I try to anticipate where punches are going to come from, and what my opponent is going to do be4 he eveb does it. And if somehow he catches me, that definately gets me a bit upset. But i kno in boxing you get hit point blank so I just deal with it

You hate amateur boxing b/c your strength of being able tot ake punches cant be used? How do you kno if you can take a solid punch when you always have protective equipment on. And by you saying that, you must get hit a lot for a referee to always stop a fight or wateva mayb the case. Take a shot without protection and then find out if you can take a lot of punches.

Now thats what I was thinking but so far I've been to a few of the fights for my friends and I'm training for a fight Aug 4th and I have a slugger style. My coach is trying to show us how to score points and what not and it's frustrating to me. I know I hit hard, and when they hit me it's taps, though I have had a few that can bang, but even the taps still get points. I think the system just bothers but I don't know.

I'm a 5'10 Heavyweight, with monster legs.. use your low center of gravity to your benifit. the power in boxing starts in the feet and the legs and moves on up and out through the fist. Start putting them to sleep my friend !
