Pavlik stops Vargas
Too big basically. He'd control the tempo and pace of the fight, establish his left jab, and make Vargas fight off of the backfoot.

pavlik too big. How about Vargas vs guys @ 154 today? I think he would have beaten all the 154lbers today as well as everyone at 147 with the exception of Floyd....Cotto vs Vargas at 147 would have been an absolute bloody fucking war man I can't even imagine how much action that fight would have!

Pavlik KO 7 Vargas. Too big and powerful for Vargas. Never exhibited his smooth boxing against larger opponents such as Felix Trinidad. His willingness to exchange was his downfall against stronger punchers. Pavlik would be no different. Kelly Pavlik walks Vargas down and finishes him on the ropes in 7 rounds.

I don't think that Vargas would have ever been able to make 147 as a pro

The only question is whether or not Vargas would still be alive after the fight is over, I mean it would be extremely dangerous, for real.

Pavlik is that bit bigger and his relentless attacks would get to Vargas eventually.
Maybe Pavliks to floor Vargas a few times before the ref steps in around the 9th

Spot on m Vargas would try and trade with Pavlik and his machismo would get him knocked out ! Fun while it lasted though

Would be fun to watch for about 5 rounds, which is when Pavlik unleashes the whiplash treatment for another brutal KO
