Danny's next fight will be in Perth on April 27 where he defends against number 1 ranked contender Hugo Garay...

Sakios next fight is in Las Vegas on May 31 where he will rematch Jaidon Codrington on the HBO PPv undercard of the Judah vs Mosley bout...

a step back for sakio because jaidon could possibly beat him this time, i still rate jaidon, sakio didnt cash in on his win when he had the chance....

I think Bika Codrington 2 isnt too bad an idea. Alot of people who seen the first fight who weren't necessarily big fans of boxing will be keen to see it so its good publicity for the sport.

Well both opponents are levels above Mundine's latest three (put together) - so that ain't half bad.

As for Bika - I think this is the best risk/reward fight for him at this time. Relative low risk and a good reward. Only better fight risk/reward would proberbly be a fight with Mundine - winable and good reward, although I'd have Mundine the favourite.

lead right, garay lost a ridiculously corrupt split decision against erdei for the wbo crown, after losing to him a year erarlier to him in a majority points loss.the split decision loss had 1 judge giving garay the fight by 4 rounds.i have watched the entire fight, and garay won the fight no flipping doubt. pablo and hamdan are no where near as good as garay.he has fought soft guys aswell, but he has beaten the wbo qworld champ only to be ripped off.watch the fight, which by the way was in germany, and if you disagree that garay won and that he isnt world class bigtime, then you are not in the real world my friend. this will be a war.

Obviously you havent seen Garay, so maybe you should think about that before making a silly comparison like that again.

Mundine would beat Bika by atleast 6plus rounds.

Bikas loose defence is his downfall.

Agreed. Bika would be very very hittable for a guy as fast as Mundine.

Yes all true but i think the Mouth isnt so scared himself these days.Since the green fight he has turned a corner as a truely top tier boxer(that still chooses to beat up c grade fighters).

Look bika has a punchers chance at best.It would no doubt be a very TOUGH and Rugged fight for Mundine if it ever eventuates but the mouth would be too slick with his counters and swift 1,2s for Mr Bika.

I watched Sakio in action vs Calzaghe when i was in living in the U.K. and whereas Joe got caught up in Bika's Roughouse tactics making it a hard night at the office for Joe,i cant see Mundine following suit.

The more i think about it i wouldnt be surprised if Bika was stopped by round 9.Through accumulation of hard accurate blows.

Hmmm

Jaidon should be a little damaged from the first fight imo.
So this is better for Bika than an Andrade fight.

mundine had problems with him the first time, second time he didnt because he had him worked out, and no matter wat people say he had problems with nievas that time he was like that, and he had problems with nader last night also, even though he won comfortably he still had problems with him, but sakio is elite competition that is the difference between all his opponents, and sakio hits fukn hard, according to my trainer also who thinks sakio can beat mundine and hes generally a great judge...

In reality, Mundine should be gunning to fight Sakio. It's a fight I'd expect him to win quite comfortably, and he'd get world wide respect for it. The risk/reward ratio is about as good as whats out there for Mundine.

A points win would put him back on everyones "ok" list (except for Josey who only wants him to fight Kessler), and a stoppage win (which is very possible) would make Choc's stocks rise higher than they were after the Soliman fight.

I really don't want to see him fight Soliman again. I don't mjind seeing a Green rematch provided they don't drag it out over another 9 or so months. Soliman should fight Hamden.

I actually think Jaidon was unlucky on the contender. Sakio didnt have his feet under him and almost fell over a couple of times in the minutes after being Knocked-down...I wouldnt of complained if the ref had of ruled a TKO for Bika's safety...as it turned out; the ref let him continue and he won.
I also thought the ref acted a bit pre-maturely in ruling the TKO on Jaidon.

I would not be suprised if Jaidon won by KO or clear points this time around.

Codrington turned his back and walked away. He didn't know where he was. He gets hit one more time in that position we might have had another Gerald McClellan on our hands.
Its the same logic people use in the first Pavlik-Taylor fight. "Smoger didn't give him a count blah blah".
He couldn't defend himself. End of story.

Garay is a world-class contender and will possibly beat Green... has firepower, accurate, very high workrate, great stamina, good defence and he has improved since the Erdei fights.

By the way: am I alone to see Erdei winning against Garay? Their first fight was a clear-cut decision for the Hungarian, Garay won the last 2 rounds and 1 or 2 more. Actually Erdei outlanded Garay in their second encounter as well, I scored that fight even....

And I am surprised to hear that some consider Erdei as bum... Ring Magazine obviously does not realize how bum he is... as he is rated No #1 in LHW (champ is B-Hop).... :deal

I was pretty surprised as he is doing all the explosive power based exercises i have had to do through footy.I quess thats why he is training at para's gym.

Only problem with explosive weight sessions is the high injury risk.

As you would of noticed with Greens machines sesh is the overly uncontrolled motions involved.Great for power and strength but shit if you push 10% too hard you can fuck your body.Especially the shoulders. Also when he was doing the neck exercise he should be doing it in a more controlled slower motion.Jerking your neck back and forth so quickly with weights isnt a smart idea.

Thers my two cents worth.lol.

Sorry to have offended your overly sensitive nature hero.

Codrington turned his back and walked away. He didn't know where he was.

He had definantly been hit and was at the very least dazed...I thought it was more of an exhausted attempt to just get out of the way more than anything. If he had of stood there like he had been doing he would of been Put down.

However, even if it was that he was out of it, he was just as out of it as Bika was when he first got knocked down. IMO.

If Briggs is going to 168, it wouldn't be to duck Green, as Green has no intention of fighting him. It'd be because Mundine is offering him a final pay day and shot at a title.

Danny Green was Triple M radio last night and was asked there would be a Mundine rematch and he said that the two teams are working out stuff and it would probably happen within the next 12 months.

So we know there will be a Mundine vs Green 2 and Pecks considering the 2 have been having a few digs at each other over the last 3/4 months the build up will probably be about 12 plus months long.

Tic Tac heart will UD Green knocking him down in the process :happy:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy
