Then the gitters come once the fight gets closer as I sit tight to the couch. The gitters remain but I find myself standing and sitting repeatedly as the fight is happening yelling, ooing and aahing.

Watching big fights in the UK usually means staying up till atleast 5 a.m. The sense of occasion usually makes it worthwhile if it's a big fight though. Best spot? Anywhere you can stay awake or near the beer filled fridge.

That's exactly what we do. It's party time . . . but not inside the house . . . we do it in the backyard. Every boxing fight is a family day for us. :good

depends where I'm at.

when I'm here in Kenora its for sure at the house downstairs in the liveing room with the lights down just me, my dad, and my little sister watching the big screen with some Soda and chips.

we take the precaution of telling my mom to leave us all alone till we come back upstairs. we'll eat dinner or whatever AFTER the dang fight is over:good

when I lived in Saskatoon there was a pub downtown that would ALWAYS have the fights and like a 5 dollar charge to get in. I love the good'ol Irish pub scene on a fight night:thumbsup

Ima be celebrating my friends b-day and we are going bar hopping. I told him i dont wanna miss the fight and we should drink at a sports bar till the fights over. Im talking about Marquez-Vasquez.
Does every sports bar have hbo and showtime???

we set up a few tv's in the house and one in the back yard. its almost always at my house. living room for the non smokers and the smokers are usually out in the back. either way its all the same with me standing the entire time on pins and needles for the big fights

I work Saturdays so I come home and watch the fights I recorded alone but when im not working I usually go all out for the big fights at my buddies house hes got a nice 40 inch Plasma High Def and his Dad cooks some banging ass shit up on the grill us 3 his brother,my ex girl,a mutual freind of ours and some others sometimes buy a few cases of Pepsi or occasionally Beer and have a good time. Usually the big occassions are when Oscar or Mosley fights as me and my boy Kenny usually set this things up thats his boy Oscar and Shanes my boy but most big fights over the years involving Vargas,Oscar,Mosley,RJJ,Tito,Tyson we all get together.

If its on the east coast and a big fight I try to make plans to go, make a road trip with some friends out of it....My new girlfriend likes boxing and wants to take me to Vegas for a fight....Hopefully I wont fuck that up:lol:

I dont know how some of these places you call themselves a Sports bar and not have HBO & Showtime and every single PPV, YOU WOULD MAKE A KILLING ON THE BOOZE ALONE.
