This should be an easy one for the champion. He'll probably end up knocking out a whole bunch of germans and Mads Larsen.
Berrio is not even a paper champ, he is a papyrus champ.

:-( this fight has the makings of a classic, given that both are evenly matched in mediocrity!

Haussler champion of the world. It would be great for the sport. Calzaghe, Kessler and Haussler : odd man out. Beyer had obtained and defended a belt so everything is possible. I have still in mind the fantastic unanimous decision 115-113 115-113 114-113 obtained by Haussler over Kanfouah. What a fight ! The limited bull who had fallen asleep and the timid matador who had a great match plan : landing less than 5 weak punches / round to keep the bull asleep.

Häussler is crap, Brähmer is off, Beyer is worn out. Larsen we haven't ever, in his whole career, fight an ambitious puncher. I expect him to fold.

Brähmer would get knocked the fuck out against Berrio. He didnt looked good at all in recent fights and tasted the canvas and Berrio is a big puncher. Hes not a big champ but i rank him above Brähmer and Häussler right now.

But thats a tad unfair towards Beyer, actually he wasn´t such a bad fighter, only thing he was involved in a couple of highly controversial fights (Lukas, first Green fight). He holds good wins over Woodhall and 2nd Green fight, and imo the Sheika win was respectable as well. Haussler never was a world champ to begin with and truth be told never even a convincing Euro champ, mediocre to the last degree, but what he did have though was guts and a lot of heart. Kanfuah is this Algerian-French guy who challenged him like 4 or 5 years ago, right? He got robbed that night, imo

Fake papyrus champ with no guts!
not sure why out of the stable that haussler is the fighter being brought forward.
berrio is not that taslented but he is a big hitter and IMO he will pearce that double arm guard and club haussler to defeat at some point in the fight.
mind you on the other hand a fair bit of money has been invested in haussler and this can be his one and only slot to ever become a world champ as there are no other fighters in the top 10 who i think haussler will beat and he will never have a better chance than against berrio, as despite hausslers limitations he is still better technically skilled than berrio.
just that berrio did a number on steiglitz/ and vanderpool who IMO both beat haussler, and you have to say as poor as berrio is technically he does have true world class power.

and dont forget, häussler is a workhorse with an iron chin. larsen pounded his ass but didnt drop him.
he has been in with many heavy punching guys and he was never stopped.
he is super conditioned and no easy fight for anyone.
if berry cant beat him out early, häussler may just take him late......
Brähmer, Beyer and Larsen are still better than Berrio. Of course they are better than that feather fisted and harmless German supermiddle. Besides Haussler is one of most boring fighters out there.

Even Haussler's stablemate Larsen(who is still a bit rusty inside a box ring) would have a better chance to beat the one-dimensional Columbian, and so would Vitaly Tsypko. Beyer is out of the game due to an injury. I still dont get it why the hell the limited Haussler gets a shot at a world title. He has had his chances to win a mayor title, and blew it. He doesnt deserve a title shot. What's more Berrio will murder him.

I don't know about the iron chin statement considering he has been knocked down several times in his pro career. I'd rather say he has an iron will, since he has always shown the guts to get up again and complete the fight(s).

Lets just say he fought lots of heavy punchers and stood right in front of every one of them. and he was never stopped.
so lets just call him really really durable/tough.

Good post, especially the last part, I dont remember which one of his fights it was when he kept stalking a big punching guy who additionally had a reach advantage and there was a danger of haussler getting caught flush and ending on his bum permanently, yet he kept coming. This guy indeed is limited but he goes right where the hurt is, thats what I give him. Hes never been a technically apt fighter and he doesnt have a thunderous punch but he has given it all in all of his fights, still i wouldnt say hes exciting to watch, his accuracy is rather poor and you never get the impression hes close to koing a fly. But the other guy who said he had a high workrate got a point, too.
markusson the fighter you mean ?
haussler was decked hard on a couple of occasions but fiddled his way through the fight to see the bell.

Should be a decent fight, Berrio needs to biuld up a decent catalogue of opponents before embarking on harder fights, if he can make it that far.
