tyson last ko`d by mcbride
holyfield last easily outboxed by ibragmanov.
you could have hulk hogan as the ref and mickey/donald and goofy as the judges and hold it in an 80,000 stadium and call it the
fight to become the undisputed
125th best heavyweight in the world

Expect a call from Don King shortly on how to put this together.

Tyson needs a tuneup. How long since his last fight? Still, could make his some badly needed money.

There is no one Tyson can fight that would bring him more money, he will make more fighting Holy than he would even Wlad.
Vice versa as well, Holy will make more with Tyson 3 than he would against anyone else.
If Holyfield is going to keep fighting anyways, he might as well do it against tyson and get the most money. And tyson needs the money, so what the hell let them do it.

holyfield has just gone 12 rounds with a world champ at the age of 45, that is some feat so anyone who takes the piss has no idea about fitness or conditioning, he still has some left in the tank, as for tyson he was dreadful in his final bouts so it would take a lot for him to comeback and look good, i think if it happens it will generate a lot of interest!!!

This fight is a farce, very bad for boxing...
Much worse even than Ottke-Michalczewski...
I can understand Mike Tyson for wanting this fight, he got nothing to lose and he really needs some cash.
As for Holyfield... if he really takes this fight he will lose a lot of my respect for him. He said he's just in it for the money, while he don't need it, he's selling himself like a whore, this fight is nonsense, why would he fight Tyson again after already beating him in one of his biggest wins and after what happened in the rematch. Holyfield don't respect himself if he takes this fight. What if Tyson knocks him out - not probable, but not impossible, you never know, anything can happen. I actually hope for Tyson to win this fight if it happens, just for making Holyfield pay for taking it
That said, my guess is Holyfield KO3 Tyson

Tyson could have won his tune-up fights if his handlers had chosen better opponents for him. I mean, Williams was 270 pounds and McBride was 6'6" and 270. Tyson is a 'small Heavy" these days and so a tune up with guys like the type Morrison or Tua or Mesi fights would be fine...

The sad thing is , that if the fight does go ahead, it will generate a lot of media interest and the winner will probably get a title shot.

Its not THAT bad.theyre both shot,so its unlikely either one will get badly hurt(i know that doesnt seem to make sense, but you know what i mean)
It may degrade them, but so what?
Think of it as a 'fun fight'

why not have a rematch between Ali and Foreman too? There's a lot of cash in that fight too, and it's good for boxing since it will get alot of attention from the medias and general public
C'mon Don King make it happen!

Tyson was beating Williams until he messed up his leg. Mcbride was a bad match up. I think his managers were trying to set him up with a future fight with one of the klit brothers, but it backfired.

I dont understand how this could be bad for boxing. This would probably get more attention for the heavyweight division than ANY other heavyweight fight right now. The fight could only increase the intrest in boxing which is surely good for the sport.

The fight will be extremely popular with the average person, only maybe 1/3 of my friends heard of Wlad, but all my friends know who Tyson and Holyfield are. I remember the local bar and Hooters being packed for the Tyson/McBride and Tyson/Williams, they had to close the doors at one point, you would of thought your city team was in the superbowl or something, the man can hype a fight like no other.

This fight would be worthless, Tyson is a good 300lbs, hasn't fought in 3 years and would rather spend time in strip clubs than in a Boxing gym..
Holy is 46 and can't get licensed in New York or in Vegas, id rather see flies fuck than this crap..

Pretty much. And keep in mind Mike was winning both fights until the end.
If he actually got in good shape this could be an entertaining fight. Either way, I'd rather watch this than any of the current HW bs.

A small heavy like Tyson is nothing without his speed and stamina...and that is long gone. He just throws it all in the first couple of rounds then has nothing left.

You cannot be a Tyson fan to propose such crazy fights. Mike was well past his prime in the 90s for various reasons most ppl are aware of. But post 2000 he is a punching bag after 1-2 rounds.

Fenech....
Australian trainer Jeff Fenech has explored a possible re-match of the infamous Evander Holyfield v Mike Tyson "bite" fight, AAP reports. Holyfield revealed Tyson wanted a third fight with him and used friend and trainer Fenech as a go-between. "There has been some talk between us," said Holyfield. "Mike had Jeff Fenech, who's been training him, call me a few months ago.
"Jeff says Mike wants to fight me again - but he needs to know if I would agree to it. I said, 'Yeah, if the price is right, I probably would'."

02-28-2008, 04:13 PM
I don't think it would be slaughter, Vitali hasn't fought since 04' and Tyson hasn't fought since 05'. Maybe it would be a easier win for Vitali because of the age difference. You can't forget that Vitali's skills have probably lowered since his last fight, and old Tyson or not, he's still got a good chin. And Tua vs Tyson would be great (maybe not now, but if it did happen), two stocky power punchers, it would be great indeed.

You're saying that asif it's a bad thing.
To be honest, i expect that if Vitali somehow makes it through a training camp, he'll be deteriorated a lot. He relied a lot on reflexes and speed to avoid getting hit. His reflexes will have deminished a lot. There's also at least a 30% chance that he gets injured during the fight. However, against the current Tyson, shot reflexes or not, his iron chin will see him through the first two rounds... after which Vitali can just bounce punches off Tyson's big skull and shove him around in clinches. Yep, i'd watch that.
Not gonna happen though. Vitali is (unfortunately) going for the winner of Peter vs Maskaev. He should remain retired. He'll be a lot less than he used to be and it would be a huge disappointment to retire from another injury. Let Wlad handle the winner of Peter vs Maskaev.

Tyson is a man i want to remember as a great legendary story about a young man in the projects who had a dream and used it to get a life and turned it into becoming one of the best heavyweight fighters ever.. I don't want the story to end up with him a punchbag losing three fights in a row at the end of his career.. I don't want to see him lace gloves on again.. it would be so sad.. He couldn't handle Kevin Mcbride , how is he gonna hold off a still very active Holyfield..

Dude Tyson is 230 tops. It would be nothing to drop 10 pounds.
No way...I know hes not a big heavyweight but he weighed around 235 in his last few fights...and so he must of shed a few pounds in the gym prior to those fights.
I'd watch it - thought I know I wouldnt be shelling out to see it! They are both shot but still would be entertaining to watch. Definately a Holyfield win here, though they are both shot Holy is in shape and has less rust to shake off. Like someone said after 2 rounds now Tyson is spent...and we all know that Holy has Tythons number.:yep
