What would you rather have, a reliable chess match boxer puncher like a safety first Wlad , or a rough slammer like Sammy Peter who throws caution to the wind when he chooses and sometimes comes across as dirty.. I take the entertainment value any day.. Sammy v Wlad was entertaining because Samuel decided to go for broke and hang it all out , Wlad too often takes the safety first route which is great for his finances but not so great for those of us at ringside.. Samuel as a champ may add a bit of colour if he beats Oleg convincingly on Saturday, i don't understand all of the bad feeling towards Peter on here. Sammy does nothing worse than Foreman used to in the 70's yet he was revered for being a rough fighter.. Give Sammy a bit of slack , i think he wants to be an entertaining champ..

Any thoughts..

God Bless..:good

If you want to see all out action, Toughman contests or fights featuring guys like Vinnie Mandalone or Butterbean are the best bet. For those who enjoy the more subtle skills of expert world class professional boxers , maybe Wlad would be perferable to the caveman clubbing of Sam Peter.

I like exciting punchers, but I don't really like it when they swing wildly and ugly.

Valero, Peter, Ponce, etc...

Now granted I loved the Peter-Williams and Ponce-Look 2 knockouts, but usually I like the more technically sound punchers.

Tyson, Hearns, Liston, Jackson, etc...

Wlad can end a fight at anytime with one highlight reel shot with either hand. That creates a lot of exitement in itself. It's all about anticipation. He is also an excellent boxer and i can appreciate the skills he demonstrates. He can dominate a top hw with his jab alone....i like that

The Goat Herder relies on rabbit punches, low blows and senile refs to get the best of his opponent unless he's fighting stalwarts like Julius Long.

I prefer good boxers, reliable chess match boxer punchers.

I love watching guys like Lennox Lewis, Wlad Klitschko, Floyd Mayweather, also James Toney, etc.

I prefer a fight like Toney-Jirov or Mayweather-Judah a million times more than Vasquez-Marquez III.

Sam Peter is the most exciting heavyweight out there today bar none.

I like the flash bastards with mad reflexes and movement who can make an opponent look foolish...then again I like nerveless boxers with solid basics who can stand in front of someone capable of harming them and simply outmanoeuvre them...and I like vicious do or die sluggers too.

The only ones I dislike are huggers, that shit should cost points.

If you want to see someone swinging wildly and rabbit punching at all times - go watch Chuck Wepner.. that doesn't make one a superb champ. I like the middle way.. Mikkel Kessler, Jermain Taylor, Kelly Pavlik, Manny Pacquiao, etc.. Straight punchers with skill, speed, power and brain.
