Why does Haye believe Americans want him to represent us? He is a soft chinned British horizontal heavy in the mold of Henry Cooper and Frank Bruno.
Wlad would ice him fast. The only upside to Haye beating Enzo is that Wlad could emulate Vitali's win over Herbie Hide by crushing Haye in London.
It is time to stop hating Wlad. His last performance was no worse than several Tyson (Bonecrusher Smith anyone?) and Lewis defenses (Mavorvic? Tua?).
BTW Lewis has really porked out. Has anyone seen the Trump program! Disgraceful for a former champ to look that fat.

This thread is rather presumtuous and comparing Bruno and Cooper to Haye is nonsensical.
Besides, prime Bruno would have beaten Wlad, and if Cooper were around today, he'd be a contender at least. He'd surely beat a schmo like Liakovitch.

i am american and i dont perfer Wlad...after his last fight idk how anyone can...i want someone who will come and fight be it european, american, african etc...haye can at least bring excitement to the divison because he can bang and his jaw might not be the greatest...thats excitement, the ability to kncok someone out while being prone to be knocked out yourself...tyson and lewis are prime examples...wlad could be in this group be he is afraid to engage

Haye is making a huge mistake by looking past Enzo talking about Wlad. It's a pick em' fight, but if Haye is unfocused, I think Enzo will stop him in the middle rounds and make his comments about Wlad moot.

1) he doesn't. He isn't.
2) Wlad would have trouble with his speed and movement. When he went to clich, Haye would unload uppercuts at Wlad as he leant in. Which makes Wlad cautious. Which means he won't be putting anyone to sleep but the audience.
3) Who are you to tell Lewis he's disgraceful? All those years keeping in shape, I think he deserves a few pies.

Sultan was there for the taking but Wlad didnt try to end it.

He is no longer a proffesional athlete, and has every right to enjoy fine food and being lazy now he is in his 40's.

Very true. The man has been working to stay in shape and watching his weight and diet for decades. I think he's entitled to relax a bit. I'm also willing to bet he's in better shape than the VAST majority of posters on this board.

I like Haye but he wont give Wlad any more problems than Sultan Ibragimov. He is big at cruiserweight at 6'3 and 200lbs but Wlad would dwarf him and he wouldnt be able to take Wlads power.

I think Haye is pretty cocky, but I just think think his point about America is that he'll give good interviews, good hype, bring some glamour and articulacy to the heavyweight scene, etc.
Who knows if Americans will respind favorably to him but at least he wants to give it a shot and create some excitement.

i think haye could be a good hw. how good? nobody knows til he steps up. he is just a prospect at this point. this talk of hw domination is premature and delusional. first he must take care of business on saturday. it's probably not smart to overlook opponents. if does step up, id like to see him against guys like sultan, povetkin, or peter before he steps in there with wlad.

He does not need to be in elite shape, but he does not need to let himself go the way he has. Needs to set an example. No reason not to be fit after retirment and in your early 40's.
