Can he make it 140 by tomorrow??
Please, only serious discussion from those who know the ins and outs of rehydration, or those with serious questions
No Castillo hate please (although I am a huge fan, I can certainly agree this is past the point of ridiculous and dangerous)?

I lost about the same amount in a day so I'd say with the right idea, he can do it

depends on how hard he's BEEN trying to make it.
if he hasnt already gotten into a sauna with a sweat suit and done some exercicse? then no question he can make the weight.
if he's already done it all? probably not enough time left for what he'd need to do....and if hes already drained and does get down? he's gonna get hurt come fight night

I'd say it depends on the situation. If he has already nearly killed himself to make 147.5, then I highly doubt he can go any further without doing some drastic like starving himself of any food or liquids. If he has not made weight due to poor training, then he can definitely squeeze out those pounds.
All of our bodies can take but so much. If Castillo feels he can make it, i think it is b/c he didnt train as hard as he could or he is afraid to admit that he physicallly can't make it.

didn't even clue in my mind..if he is 7.5 over and already drained then no..I've been only a few ounces over while being drained as fuck and still couldnt lose a couple ounces from sitting in a sauna..some people forget how cruial just a few pounds can be.

He really should just fight at Welterweight. If he had 147 to work with, he'd be fine.

Castillo would get brutally destroyed at welterweight. Look what Ricky Hatton did to him. Imagine what a welterweight puncher would do.

He would probably be at the bottom of the barrel at welter. Who do you think he could beat? He is way past his prime and has been through too many wars. Floyd, Cotto, Margarito. Paul, Quintana, Collazo, Mosley, Cintron, and Clottey would probably easily beat him. At this stage in his career, Judah and Berto may be able to beat him as well.

That may be true, but if you are gonna fight, it needs to be at a weight that is comfortable. He also fought at 147 in the past (as far back as 5 yrs ago), and he was sucessful in all of them.
He won a fight at 147 in Mexico last summer, and by TKO.

Castillo's in trouble. He'll have a hell of a time making weight by tomorrow and if he does, he'll be very drained and weak. He should call it a career, but unfortunately, he needs the money.

Does it matter? It's not like he's coming in overweight for a title match or anything..:deal

Does this Bradley guy somehow have the clout to get persnickety and cancel the fight? This is far and away the biggest moment in his career, right?

I hope he doesn't cancel, but then again, the strength advantage for Castillo would come into play

If his training was at 100% and his metabolism is at it's peak, then yes, he can do it without killing himself. If not then he is fucked.

If he's going to just throw away the tail end of his career anyway, why not give a young lion like Ngoudjo a shot at redemption (and back into contention) with a rematch?
