He wasn't. He has been struggling to make the limit for years now. Thankfully, he stayed in shape after the Mormeck bout so getting to the limit this time wasn't as much of a problem. It easily could have been though. I'm sure Haye is somewhat drained tonight.

I read this too, his trainer said the whole "we can't make weight" was a ploy to ensure Enzo signed the fight thinking Haye would be weight drained!

Only *if* Haye loses and I hear the weight drained argument I swear I'll go pompei!!!!! :!:

I dont think it sounded like he struggled to make weight at all. Bunce said he was 195 with his cloths on earlier.

Since he has no problem making weight, he should have no problem fighting Cunningham for a chance to be a super unified champ.

The best policy is to simply ignore any statements that start with the words 'Bunce said'.

It's not going to happen.

But Enzo has a decent chance and I'm sure he'd fight Cunningham.

Actually, even if he loses he'll probably end up fighting Cunningham at some point.

If USS wants Haye so bad I suppose he could always move up to heavyweight.

Isn't this the cumbucket that picked D-Hopkins to beat Witter, based on him being from Philly?

What sort of bullshit logic is that.

That's slightly confusing. I don't think Maccarinelli's WBO title is the main reason for the match up. And Cunningham is four years older than Enzo :?

Jesus Christ, do I have to spell out everything for you people. The old men comment was in reference to Mormeck, the WBO comment was in reference to Macca.

Nah Bigreg has informed us that Cunningham walks around at 195, and then after a grueling pain staking 6-8 weeks of training loses all of 2lbs to take the scales at 193.

I mean it doesnt bare thinking about the type of intense training that Cunningham goes through according to Bigreg who incidentally questioned my knowledge on weight loss and excercise (with my degree in Sports science I guess he has a point) as Bigreg himself is ex heavyweight champion of the World, a qualified Doctor an ex Ballet dancer and of course (most notably) USS Cunningham's best friend.

Fighters talk cap about their weight all the time.

Enzo Maccrinelli said he walks around at 196, and yet he just weighed in at 197.

Seriously it is beyond me how you can think that someone only loses 2lbs after a gruelling training regime. There are hundreds of fighters who keep themselves in shape between fights, and still lose 15lbs from their 'walking around weight.'

Seriously if this guy wasn't from Philly you wouldn't be banging on about him.

Floyd Mayweather has never weighed over 150 lbs. in his life, yet he fights at 147. Andre Ward also fights at around his walk around weight. Why is this so hard for you to believe? I would think with your degree in Sports Medicine, you would be able to grasp this concept.

I aint finding it hard to believe he weighs in at what he does, Im finding it hard to believe he loses 2lbs of weight from the time he starts his training camp for a big fight, to when he weighs in, which is what your saying.

No, it's what he said. The same is true for Mayweather. The guy walks around at about 148 and fights at 147. Your body is like a thermastat in regards to weight. There's a set weight that your body wants you at. If you go above it, your metabolism speeds up get you back down to your normal weight. If you go below it, your metabolism slows down. Drastic changes have to be made to your diet and/or exercise routine to change this. So, if Cunninham works out pretty hard all the time(not out of the question considering his Naval background) than it's not out of the question that he would only lose a few pounds during training, especially if he increases his caloric intake. But what do I know, I don't have a degree in sports medicine.

People dont train at 100% all the time, it aint possible. While he will keep himself in good shape between a fight, suddenly going into a big training camp will mean he will lose a significant amount of weight.

Im of the belief that there will be a significant difference between Cunningham's training intensity, as well as his diet, when he is in camp (I dunno how long his camps are before a big fight) and when he doesnt have a fight set (now for example.)

That is why I wont believe he loses only 2lbs after a hard training camp.

Like I say your using his quotes which is fair enough, but then Iv heard a load of boxers talk a lot of yang about their weight.

Also Mayweather weighed in at 150 for De La Hoya, but I thought I remembered hearing in commentary that he was slightly heavier come the fight night, despite weighing in way inside the limit.
