Can´t decide - both are really annoying. I depends on what happens in between - I guess.

I agree, they are both annoying. But at least when somebody holds the referee can take the matter into his hands and either deduct points or disqualify the boxer(if it is really bad ala Ruiz), while when somebody just runs around the ring, the ref cannot do any of the above.

i hate holding, this prevents fighters from punching.. what the sport is about..!

if a guy runs, run faster and catch up, at least there is the chance of punches being thrown

agree :good

Holding is worse...

I mean, running is part of the strategy, you cant be DQ for running, ur opponent must adjust..., while holding is illegal, and ur opponent cant do shit if u hold him for ever.

I think there needs to be more pts taken for excessive holding and running ..

You can have a NC for lack of action though(in regards running) , both of them are bad as each other .

with running there is at least some kind of action. coupled with the anticipation of the chaser catching the runner:bbb

although running is part of the game plan, but gee it is annoying. if that fighter wins, it is nothing special or nothing to brag about. for sure nuthuggers for that fighter will consider it a masterpiece but please... give me a break :-(
holding can be stopped by the ref.

It depends how bad the running is, if its PbF floyd gettin on his bike (but still firing shots while resting on his points lead, I cna deal with that. But if it Cory SPinks basically backpeddaling and not trying to throw punches (like in Karmazin fight), I cant stand that. The worst fight I ever saw was Direll-Stevens, that fight was way worse than any Ruiz fight I have ever seen.

Direll is a disgrace to boxing. I emailed HBO requesting to be compensated for that marathon, I cannot call it a fight. I agree, that sheet was worse than any of the Ruiz's fights.

Heavies hold, chickens run. Both are annoying and should be grounds for DQ.

Holding sucks. Damn Travis Simms fight last week was so shitty.
