I'm not talking about fights that were supposed to be real competitive but turned out to be blowouts (Lewis-Grant, Mayweather-Corrales), but fights in which going in it was basically known that it was a mismatch.

Barrera-Fana (PPV)
Bowe-Ferguson (Bowe, the OG of pimping out HBO for multi-fight deals)
De La Hoya-Campanella
De La Hoya-Campas (PPV)
Mayweather-Bruseles
R. Jones-Frazier
R. Jones-Kelly
Hopkins-Hakkar
Barrera-Kelley (PPV)

Hopkins-Hakkar takes the cake. Hakker was bouncing around for the full first round. I dont even believe he threw a punch in that round.

Way too many to count. Just this year there's been Calzaghe-Manfredo and Klit-Austin, which are just as bad as any of them listed up there.

Tyson vs. Henry Tillman comes to mind right away for me.

Fernando Vargas vs Fitz Vanderpool.

The only reason I remember this is because I just had brought it up in another thread, but anyway.. I remember watching this fight and just shaking my head at how overmatched Vanderpool was. Not only did Vargas look absolutely atrocious in that fight, but he was also just coming off the pounding to DLH. Vargas was slow, sloppy, his punches had no snap whatsoever, yet all he had to do was flick his wrist and Vanderpool was all over the place.

Barrera-Kelley (PPV)as bad as the fights were (MAB vs Fana, RJJ vs Frazier, RJJ vs Kelly, Hopkins vs Hakkar) they were all mandated fighters, since all four guys were the number one contenders. Not the fighters faults, not HBO's faults.

1/31/04, Antonio Margarito vs Hercules Kyvelos: We couldn't understand what Kyvelos was doing in the ring with Margarito. He didn't stand a chance, it wasn't even close, and he was pummeled into a 2nd round TKO.

Hopkins-Hakkar gets my vote! But the first round had all of the people in my house laughing pretty hard at the way Hakkar would turn his back and run away.

Paul Williams vs. Santos Pakau disgusted me.

His record was like what, 2-3?!

Wasn't he hit with something like 80 punches one round?

Gatti vs. Mayweather.

I disagree with this one being on there. Everyone knew that Floyd would win, but it's not one of the worst matchmaking mismatches ever. Gatti basically fought one of the dumbest fights imaginable to make it such a massacre, it should have been more competitive than it was.

My mind was on what his last 5 fights looked at, but thanks Cash, I thought his record was worse than that.

I just remember thinking hes getting crushed in New Zealand, and hes this small being brought into face THE welterweight prospect. MASSACRE. Pakau got punished, badly.

Calzaghe-Manfredo is a obvious one how does a average 154 pounder get a title shot at 168 ?

Was De la Hoya-Charpentier on HBO? As far as I remember, Charpentier landed an amazing total of 5 punches in 3 rounds.
