As a long time Vargas fan, I hope he gets his win so he can go out on a good note. That last loss to Mosley was sick and tough for him to take. He has to know that his body has given all it can to the sport and wants retire on a win.

He looks good, around 175lbs he wont have problems making 162. He used to come back from 200 to make 154 so its not even an issue.

Plus even if he actually is way over in that pic, you can lose 20lbs in a sauna if you really really want to.

It really doesnt matter if Vargas comes in over weight, its his last fight anyways. It not a title fight so its not like he will forfeit a title (he may get fined and lose some of his pasy though) he will just be slower the fatter he is. Though it might help him to absorb some of Mayorga's bombs if he is heavier.
